When I was 17 years old, my college drama coach wanted me to go to Hollywood with him (he was straight) and see if we could get in the movies (I was very talented at acting).

My mother said: "Absolutely not."

I could have managed to go anyway, but something told me not to do it. I think, on some level, I knew what Hollywood was. I NEVER regretted not going there.
