When somebody says "you must be living on another planet", it's meant to say that "you're not from this planet", meaning not from this planet Earth. Get it???

BTW, my daughter and her husband both use iPhones, and I went with them to check out the iPhones 8 and X. After playing with them for about ½ hr, they decided that their iP7 was still more than adequate and that the iP8 and iPX didn’t really offer anything that they couldn’t do without.

You might even have a framed membership certificate on your wall that you dust every night. Every post you've ever made in an Apple thread on FR demonstrates that. Why do you post in them? Frankly, I simply don't believe your protestations about family members owning anything Apple. Tell us, if they do own Apple products are you as rude to your son and daughter-in-law about their choices as you are to your fellow Freepers here? I don't believe you went with them to check out the iPhone 8 and X. I don't believe your wife's employer provide iPhone 7s to its employees. Not a word of it. You reek of dishonesty when you post anything about your experience with Apple products.

Your snide lies about "Apple re-inventing wireless charging" get you nowhere with real Apple users who know the actual facts, and most of us do. Do you realize how much time you spent to quote and then insult people you have never met? And the depth of the comments and God knows how many you did NOT pick up (I am NOT going back to enumerate).

Apple has played catchup since the introduction of the iPod. It is just a fact. There is not a feature they have “introduced” in years that is not a slightly better version of features introduced before by other technology companies (such as the iWatch or eWatch or whatever which has already receded into the technology background and was only 3 years behind the curve).

I suggest you examine your relationship with your technology. I use whatever works. If Apple could make a product that works well and consistently I would adopt it into my tech framework. But they haven’t. I have had DOD-level security face and retinal technology for years. Maps/GPS I have had for a decade.

BTW: I didn’t bother to read your entire screed and I suspect few others did either. I scanned it for the gist.
