During his lecture at the hermitage, Longhi recounted a conversation he had with the John Paul II in March 1993, in which the pope warned him about a disturbing vision he had about the future of Europe.
"The Pope told me: 'Tell this to those whom you will meet in the Church of the third millennium. I see the Church afflicted by a mortal wound. More profound, more painful than those of this millennium,' referring to Communism and Nazi totalitarianism. 'It is called Islamism. They will invade Europe. I have seen the hordes come from the West to the East,' and then told to me each country one by one: from Morocco to Libya to Egypt, and so on till the East," Longhi recalled, as reported by The Catholic Herald.
"The Holy Father added: 'They will invade Europe, Europe will be like a basement, old relics, shadows, cobwebs. Family heirlooms. You, the Church of the third millennium, must contain the invasion. Not with armies, armies will not be enough, but with your faith, lived with integrity," the priest added.

LOL... Meant to say atomic bomb. Not anatomic bomb. Freudian Slip.
Darn spellchecker!!!
That is a very perceptive observation.
Yes, I read that. Just as many proclaiming Christians do today.
Did JP2 make this prediction before or after he kissed the Koran?
Thank you for the prayers. They are ALWAYS WELCOME.
Blessings to you also.
I do not see a problem with kissing the koran or a Muslim. How can conveying Christ’s Love do harm except to an evil person where it is as placing hot coals upon them.
Do you have no idea what is in the Koran? How about the Satanic Verses? Do you know what they are?
The likeliest explanation of the Koran is that Mohammed was demon-possessed during the trance-like states in which he dictated it. The book is of the devil.
It is entirely possible to love Muslims without legitimizing one of the most demonic books ever written. Placing any kind of imprimatur on the Koran is dead wrong. It is as evil as anything else the devil inspired.
Chrstianity is a false religion. Period.
Not saying I am there. But I get tastes of His Bliss.
Yes, I am aware that you are the fruitcake who claims to have been Divinely commissioned to shepherd lost souls to the other side. And that's nonsense too.
There is another side to that statement. Blanket propositions are hard to go by.
One more point re the Koran. If we truly love Muslims, we will take care NOT to legitimize their demonic book. Imagine that the Koran were a glass of poison. If you saw a Muslim taking a sip, would you kiss the glass...or would you warn the person that poison kills?
The Koran is spiritual poison. Physical poison only kills the body, whereas the Koran damns the soul. Again, if we love Muslims, we must warn them re the Koran, as opposed to kissing/blessing it.
My identity does not depend upon whether you believe me or what you think of me.
I fully expect people to NOT believe me. I have also observed many skeptical medical researchers and neuroscientists start shaking as their belief system was undermined by merely observing me doing demonstrations. I’m a skeptic thus I can’t settle with believing, I need to experience it myself and know with no doubt. Call me a doubting Thomas as the shoe fits.
I often do not believe the words coming through me, even after fully experiencing the events described. I am a skeptic and a neuroscientist. Thus I always seek to understand the biochemistry and neuroanatomy of all events experienced. A miracle is merely science that we don’t currently understand.
As for me, I am nothing. And the closer I get to No-Self the better vessel I become. I have a few answers, but many unanswered questions.
If islam is growing, the mainstream "religions" are shrinking, for man MUST worship (made in the image of God and all that)
As a Baptist, we have always had more smaller sized church buildings than not, and we've always had a larger percentage of women worshipers than men, (though lately it seems to have balanced out).
America used to be the missionary nation, sending the Gospel out to the world.
I know WE support over 50 missionaries but I also know many churches do not support missionaries.
There are many good points in the Muslim religion. If there were not, the Sufi’s would not have developed from them.
Just as their is diversity within Christianity from the narrow minded legalistic fear driven angry individuals (I don’t use the term “fundamentalist” to describe them as Love is the most important fundamental and the one the legalists most often lack) to the Christian Mystics and Saints.
Not all Muslims are narrow minded legalistic fear driven angry individuals. I have known a few that were more Christ-like in their behavior than most proclaiming Christians.
I’m reading a very interesting book right now. It’s “The World’s Sixteen Crucified Saviors; Or, Christianity Before Christ” by Kersey Graves
While he is very anti-religion, I learn a lot by reading his perspective on religion. It opens my mind to a greater understanding of all religions. The same is true of “Two Babylons” by Alexander Hislop
These books do not take away from my being a Christian. They add a deeper understanding.

"Personal experiences" don't necessarily mean anything, as you would know if you had ever read Deuteronomy 13.
And you're still a fruitcake.
Thanks... I resemble that remark...
What a conundrum. A religion that denies the Bible vs. a religion that "accepts" the Bible but says it is full of myths and errors? I know from personal experience that the "Genesis vs. J*sus" battle doesn't necessarily end in victory for J*sus.
There is another alternative, though. Maybe confrontation with islam and historical chrstianity will open my fellow Bible-thumpers up to it. One can only hope.
I am very familiar with Deuteronomy 13.
There is but one God, but people view Him different from different perspectives.
This is part of the legalism I speak of.
Evidently not as much as you think.
There is but one God, but people view Him different from different perspectives.
Ecu-maniac nonsense.
This is part of the legalism I speak of.
The two thousand year war against Torah legalism is what has led inevitably to our current situation.
