"Wisdom of the Crowd," a CBS drama set in San Francisco, has reportedly been dropped by the network.

The show centers around an app developer (Jeremy Piven) who, after his daughter is killed, creates a crowdsourcing app to help law enforcement catch criminals. As the Los Angeles Times notes, the show is the lowest-rated new drama on CBS.

The news follows multiple reports that Piven has been accused of sexual harassment or assault by four different women, most of whom work in the entertainment industry. Piven denied the allegations, and added that CBS would look into the matter

Similar to, but not as good as “Person of Interest.’

I believe “Wisdom of the Crowd,” is the only one-hour drama being shown by a broadcast network on Sunday evenings. Cable channels own Sunday nights right now because that is typically the night when they play their best original programming. Lots of great shows there.

I watched it for a few minutes, just long enough to see some character playing a white supremacist speaking from a podium and saying it was “time to make America great again.” Wonder where that came from.

A show about application programming? I bet it was “action packed” with program reviews and team meetings about requirements.

It’s one of the few shows worth watching. Never fails they cancel a show I like. Guess there wasn’t enough smut and foul language. He is innocent until proven guilty. Bet this was an excuse for something else to cancel the show.

No, it was more about Bayes’ Theorem, Machine Learning, AI, and crowd sourcing.

Started strong but story line faded into arguments between corporations, legal stuff, etc, lost its way. Not surprised it was cancelled.

Piven passed lie detector tests that showed he did not molest any women according to such a test. The story may say that too. Just emphasizing.

I hear the season was going to end on a Scrum Meeting cliffhanger.
