Is California about to be hit by the 'Big One'? Fears of a massive earthquake rise...

My favorite song by George Strait goes something like this "I've got some ocean front property in Arizona from my front porch you can see...!

It really is one of my favorites.

Born in Silicon valley and have lived here my entire life.
Every few years I get the ‘big one’ dreams.
Was getting those in October.
Nothing ever has happened...so I think we are okay.
I think.

They ran the same article (almost word for word) last week. I guess if the run it every week, they’ll eventually be right.

Well considering 70% of our state voted against him and Trumps approval rating here is about 15% I wouldn’t blame Trump if he denied our state federal relief funds if we do get hit

Some hold to a theory that swarms of earthquakes are not necessarily precursors to a big one, just opposite they “relieve a building up of pressure” deep in the earth.

Before that happens, the entire State will risk disease from the unhealthy lifestyle of the homeless and yes ILLEGAL ALIENS.

If you’re going to San Fransicko
Be sure to wear a hardhat on your hair
In the streets of San Fransicko
Gentle people with concrete in their hair

There’s a strange vibration
All across the nation
mmmmm, people in motion.
Involuntary motion.

So, if you come to San Fransicko
Be sure to wear some latex on your hands
In the streets of San Fransicko
Summertime will be a freak-in there

Day after day, more people move to LA
Don't you tell anybody that the whole place is shaking away.
Where can we go when there's no San Francisco?
Better get ready to tie up the boat in Idaho.

Not the Big One, but the vlogger Dutchsinse has a earthquake forcast projecting a possible 4.5 plus or minus 1 magnitude in Southern California. He likes to put extra room above a projection so when he projects a 4.5, he wants people to make sure they are well prepared for a 5.5 or a little greater. At the end of the forcast period, he will consider this forcast as a “hit” if an EQ occurred within 200 miles of the projected location and within 1.0 magnitude. He’s usually right.
At the 25 minute mark of this video, he outlines conditions he believes would have to exist before we’d expect a very large earthquake in the Cascadia subduction zone.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i1IZoE6pdmA

Basically he says if the tremors along the shore/coast parallel to the Cascadia subduction zone (ocean) stop for 3 or 4 days, enough pressure would theoretically build up and trigger a very large “release” (earthquake).

"Is California about to be hit by the 'Big One'?"

Wuhl, Ah don't know! Is it?

The media have been abuzz with that fear during many brief instances for quite a few years now: a fear that is a reflection of broad public concern, momentarily remembered and wished away. Maybe, before the fear is denied yet again by way of public will, a good question would be, "Why the moments of fear that so many must repeatedly decide to forget?"

What of the natural, once-in-a-great-while deviations and accelerated movements of the outer core and weaknesses in the magnetic field? What of the increase in meteors coming our way? And all during the extended solar minimum that has arrived again?

Maybe we'll see, if we're stay long enough.

It won’t happen anyway. Like nuclear weapons, earthquakes are a hoax.
