Mike Pompeo is a former Cavalry Officer who was a member of the 2nd Armored Cavalry Regiment during the cold war.

Do you think any vehicle gets anywhere near Langley without being clocked multiple times by vehicular surveillance, foot surveillance, OPs, and cameras?
Do you think any sort of convoy wouldn’t attract immediate attention? I am not even a pro, but I know if you wanted to hit Langley you would have to do it by air.

I watched the interview, and they guy seemed credible. Source was a guy at a three letter agency.

Back on the eve of WWII, Gen Donovan (WWI MOH, etc.)tried to convince FDR of a new intel org which eventually became the OSS (forerunner of the CIA)...His first choice however was to found the new organization within the USMC!
Only the stink raised by USMC Generals prevented this, and the OSS entered the scene, although many Marines served in the OSS during WWII.
Well documented!
I posted all this w/links online many years ago.
Here we are again, with many suggesting getting rid of the CIA!
