Evan Sayet explains the return of nationalism in Europe and America (Brexit, Trump and more) and why it is essential to the survival of the West.
What bs. Put ‘’nationalism’’ and ‘’socialism’’ together and you have National Socialism’’ aka Nazism, a creation of the Left not the Right.
One is a political system, the other an economic system.
These terms keep changing or at least they are applied to different things. In the case of Trump, populism is the word. And it describes a politician who says what the people want to hear. And here is the new part. He actually tries to enact it, when he gets into office.
Socialism, seems to be a collective of government workers and press and politicians who are trying to stay in power by giving gifts of government to the lower two thirds in hope of winning elections and keep the employment with pension plans and good wages for the government workers.
The reality is that socialism tries to collect the spoils of law making and taxes and spread it, in exchange for votes to a majority of the people.
Populism is different. Its not really that self serving. The populist gets elected by listening to the people and parroting back what he hears. Then if he governs the way that the people requested, he gets to stay in office. If not, a new politician is elected.
You need government to implement socialism, which makes it a political system.
Nationalism Vs. Socialism
Sorry, didn't watch the video but I'll take an extra-large helping of Nationalism please, thank you very much.
Of course if you pronounce that word using a sinister tone like Mark Levin does you end up running away with your tail between your legs like all (R)epublicrat cowards do, except for Trump, Bannon, Gorka, Sessions and the great Stephen Miller.
But the Federalist Papers are chock full of treatises praising the virtues of a united nation, the root word of nationalism ( lots of talk of Tariffs in there and the Constitution too, Levin ). Open Borders are just the latest in a long line of attacks on the very concept of a nation put forth by the globalist enemy cabal that currently inhabits our District Of Criminals wearing (D) and (R) uniparty lapels on their custom tailored, taxpayer funded suits.
The use of National-Socialist (NAZI) as an attempted disparagement of pure-American nationalism is an easily refuted slander. Both the German/Austrian/Italian Fascists and the Soviet Communists were socialists, period. And any description of the Nazis as Nationalist literally falls apart once they annexed Austria, and took Czechoslovakia, and Poland, and France and ... etc.
They were both fully inter-nationalist Socialists, their aim was spreading their quasi-Marxist views far and wide, at gunpoint, and in death camps. They fully implemented Convert or Die as an operating principle just as thoroughly as the Islam death cult. So much so that today they are joined at the hip as globalist Islamo-Commies embedded throughout the world.
Post World War II the western academics had a real mess on their hands, trying to figure out a way to rescue their beloved Socialism from the memories of Hitler and Stalin who had already managed to kill tens of millions even before Mao came along and raised the ante substantially. That's how we got to the full scale indoctrination in public schools with their elaborate definitions of 'means of production' and 'private property and other shiny things to distract from the common denominator of death camps and firing squads.
So yup, I'll take me some plain old American Nationalism with a side order of a Great Big Wall any day of the week.
Pimping your blog ain’t cool
There are really only two positions, individualism and collectivism.
Populism is very self-serving.
The Scandinavian countries have had, until recently, very successful national socialist states.
It is a fact that that is what they are (were), and it is also a fact that you can’t use that entirely correct description because of its historical connotations.
The collapse of their states, which is ongoing, simply proves that socialist schemes can only work among a people which conceives of itself as a large extended family (i.e., a NATION), and that the family members will not happily work to provide bread to strangers.
The Scandinavian countries also exposed a HUGE shortcoming of socialism (national or otherwise): Very low birthrates that make it unsustainable. Europe’s people are disappearing for this very reason, and now Americans are as well.
Nationalism always trumps internationalism in its many forms: ie Communism, Socialism, Globalism,World Empires, Universalism, Islamic Umma and even Universal Catholic World Church. Nationalism is more linked to ancient tribalism and can be understood by the masses—The Internationalism is more academic and hard to imagine (That’s why it fails in the long run)
Populism is very self-serving.
And so is democracy. The most self serving thing is Socialism. If the self in consideration is the person in government Socialism lets the government call all the shots. They tell the people if they are too selfish or not. Populism and of course democracy lets the people call the shots. They tell our government servants when they got it right. And they fire them when they got it wrong.
Never trust a government that does not trust its own people. Obama never trusted America. That’s why he set up several extra-governmental groups, funded them with American tax money, and put them outside of the democratic process (WB, IMF, Climate Fund, UN etc.)

Socialism does not work in any form. Never has and never will.
