It will be a remake with one straight male (Gilligan), two gay males, two lesbians, one trans-woman and one trans-man. Fun for the whole family!
My fear has always been that they'll do a Gilligan's Island remake directed by Tim Burton. The island will be a goth-land and Johnny Depp will play all the male characters.
Helena Bonham Carter would play both Ginger and Mary Ann. Now I have no idea who I'd rather be stuck on the island with!
I suspect the real reason it’s gonna tank is that it’s a shitty movie. A whole boatload of people got rooked into going because Warner Brothers, who made the movie AND owns rottentomatoes.com, suppressed the normal pre-movie-release reviews on their site (because they weren’t very good), and I’m convinced also paid legions of trolls to post thousands of fake user reviews all over the internet, e.g., there were a thousand glowing, one-liner user reviews on rottentomatoes BEFORE the movie even opened! And they pretty much all sounded alike: “Amazing movie. The critics are full of it ...”
Because of this, it’s no longer possible to judge whether to go see a movie based on user reviews. As a consequence, it’s best simply not to go at all and enjoy your giant HD TVs in the comfort of your own home, your own delicious food, beverages and snacks, and super high-quality TV series from around the world via ROKU (or similar) streaming from Netflix, Amazon, and a few from HBO (G.o.T., Westworld, and Silicon Valley).
>So Superman doesnt come back to life in this movie????
>He’s in the bar.
I’d kill myself too after drinking Johnny Walker Red.
I tried to give a bottle of that stuff away to a homeless guy once. He turned me down.
The Avengers were Marvel comics' version of DC comics' Justice League.
But Marvel came out with the movie version earlier -- 5 years back.
I guess it was a big success, but for me it marked the point when these superhero movies took a nose dive.
You know, it's five or six heroes in spandex and they all have their little quirks ... complicated yet boring backstories ... happy talk .. sarcasm ... jovial, juvenile banter ... explosions ... broken glass and fireballs ... the usual formula ...
If you want to tick fans off, confuse Marvel's The Avengers with the 60s British TV series and the Ralph Fiennes-Uma Thurman movie.
The difference between DC and Marvel is that Marvel Studios has full control over the content. They are staying mostly faithful to the comics and the characters.
DC has no such control. So the studios meddle. Everyone wants input and everyone wants to change this or that to suit some other goal. Before you know it, the stories, characters and concepts are all gone. Little is the same as the comics.
I predict that Disney (which now owns Marvel and Star Wars) will buy the rights to all DC characters in a fire sale. If they are smart, they will duplicate what Marvel has done by putting a team of the original writers together with Hollywood people who grew up with the comics and understand the characters.
Maybe then, movies about DC characters will find their charm.
I’m a fan of some of the Avengers stuff, but I don’t really care enough about most movies these days to bother going to the theater to see them.
Kinda burned out on superhero movies.
But, in my opinion, this year’s Lego Batman is one of the few worth seeing.
No. Star Wars will be another big hit. In fact, Hollywood will bring in over $1 billion at the domestic box office in the frenzied five week Christmas box office period. Enjoy. I sure will.
Also, the fan boys always invade all the sites and props up the rating for all movies. They always go down when the average viewer weighs in.
Justice League dropped from 48% to 38% on RT in a matter of days...

Middle to end. It was quite interesting.
Cool... thanks. kinda what i expected.
But if he wasn’t in it after they teased it, I was gonna stay home.
Star Wars wen5 back 5o practical effects when possible. That’s what happened for the last two anyway.
So when can we expect Gilligans Island as a musical?
Marvel is kicking DC’s butt.
The second movie in the trilogy tends to do the worst box office. And this time, there hasn’t been the customary 3 year wait between films. I think it will probably beat Rogue One though.
If you’re a comic book fan, yes.
I saw the movie and enjoyed it......flame away!
