Apparently so, I saw headlines somewhere regarding this situation. The Republicans can also jerk away his party affliation next week possibly nullifying the election according to the Alabama Secretary of State.
Say if this is all a ploy of Mitch and his boys...they pull Moore’s party credentials. What happens next? There are some real things happening here. Judge Moore is innocent yes, but he has to destroy not only Corfman, but somehow trace this back to McConnel and the WAPO and he has to do this post-haste.

no clue about Corfman, but her timeline is narrow. Moore graduated law school in ‘77 and moved to Gadsden, but by 1982 he was in Texas and then Australia before returning to Gadsden in ‘84 to set up a private practice.
Now, what might help is checking the Gadsden year books from ‘76 to ‘80 or so. Someone on twitter posted Nov 9th that their brother and Leigh were both 15 in 76. That person is Marion Talley @shadowboxer50. So it might be worth a looksee.
As to Judge Moore's claim that he did not know and never met Corfman, I still believe that is decisive.
Producing evidence that Judge Moore actually knew Corfman is now Job One at the Washington Post.
Unless WaPo can prove it, Moore is going to say the same thing over and over again, namely, that WaPo’s story is a politically malicious lie.
Wow, I read they had pulled financial support and were attempting to move the election and hold a special election, etc...
Did not know they could refuse to seat or pull party credentials.

Moore has the best ammunition ever.
He went on Hannity’s radio program and said he does not know Corfman [the alleged 14 year old victim] and never met her.
Unless WaPo can prove that Moore does know her, WaPo’s story is dead.

Granted, Judge Moore did deny knowing Corfman, but unfortunately, gave awkward answers to questions that really had no bearing on the matter, that is the dating of “age of consent” women.
It is a court of Public Opinion at this point. I udnerstand that a large percentage of Moore’s supporters are sticking with him, but if it is a tight race, which at this point the polls want to indicate, then Judge Moore needs to win the public back, not only in Alabama, but nationwide. He has to humiliate McConnel and crew so he/they will not try any shennigans like refusing to seat him if he wins. That’s why its a PR battle.
How does he win not only the election, but PR battle? Destroy Corfman’s credibility and do that quickly and then pivot to destroying McConnel or at least wounding him considerably so that calls for him to give up his Head of the Senate position. Of course then we are left with democrat McCain, Flake, Corker and company.
Judge Moore has to also destroy what remaining credibility there is at the Washington Post. How he does all three over the weekend remains to be seen. The key in my mind is that the first target is Corfman.
The other three are just wall decorations and need to be treated as such. Nothing illegal happened. There might be a certain “ick” factor regarding a 32 year old man and a 17 year old woman/girl, but nothing illegal or illicit.
If you watched Hannity TV tonight, the interview was played and the “panel” got stuck on Moore’s awkward answers regarding the dating of yonger women and thus jumping to the conclusion that if those answers were “awkward,” then maybe the denial is in question. That was the conclusion of the Panel, hence Judge Moore has a PR problem in that regard, despite his innocence.
Wishing this away won’t make it so. Blood is in the water and Moore is dinner. And even if he can hold on, then he still has a problem with the republican party pulling their party membership and refusing to seat him. Its a real conundrum. He has been put in very tight box.

Evidently, Leigh Corfman also goes by Marjorie L Corfman, as well as MLeigh Corfman. Lived in Tucson. Born May 1964, which would have made her 15 years old in May 1979? When did she claim she first met Judge Moore? I will have to check.
I read the Aron Klein article. I already went to their tip line with some additional information TexasGurl24 found on facebook. IIRC, this accuser is not the main accuser but one of the “barely-women” that Judge Moore dated around the period. It really has no bearing on the main accusation as these women only claimend that Judge Moore dated them when they were past the age of consent. Maybe an ick factor, but nothing illicit, nor illegal. These three cases are constaly being confused with the main accusation. WAPO bundled them on purpose to confuse the issue and make the false accusation legitimate.
. But since these dates were not illegal...then there is no reason to give evasive or awkward answers.
He must have the worst advisors, if they heard what he was going to say to Hannity and let him go on and lie like that. He would have been better off telling the truth!
I wouldn’t say Moore lied about such dates, that’s why I used the term awkward answers. He should have been better prepared. Have his message streamlined. Both my wife and I listened to the interview on radio. Me down in the barn and her in the house. Right afterwards we compared notes and had the conclusion that after the interview things were still muddled. Yes, there was a forceful denial, but the rest of the interview was not helpful to say the least.
In my opinion, the fact that he didn’t remember speaking to the civics class is fine and believable. But when he said he REMEMBERED the 17 year old high school girl he met there, but had NO RECOLLECTION of whether or not he dated her or kissed her, that just isn’t believable at all. If you remember someone, you know whether you had ever had romantic interest in them.
I agree. He could have easily owned the conversation/interview at that point by saying he dated a lot of charming women in those days and left if at that and return to the denial of the main accusation. His fumbling on the legal dating casts a shadow on his denial. Its a perception. I am not saying he is guilty of anything, its just that he should have done better in his most important interview.
Going big time public would be helpful...

Moore planned to sit for the interview. So his plan, with an advisor or two or four, was to fumble and dissemble? There is only one reason to lie and obfuscate, and he is a judge. THAT bothers me more than what possibly paid off accusers say.
Presuming at least one of the charges are true, he should admit is was wrong, yet whether true or false, he needs to take the offense and state the truth that what a young man did approx 40 years(!) ago is not evidence or his character in contrast to how he has lived since.
Those who are using this to disqualify him are the same media that would elect JFK or Bill Clinton in heartbeat, even knowing of their fornicating past.
In addition, great men of history often had character defects such as with the bottle or with women, and their are worse sins:

He dated some age of consent “barely-women” there was no crime, again, there was no crime. There might be a social “ick” factor, but again, there was no crime. Now there is the accusation that would be considered a crime, the taking advantange of a 14 year old. Judge Moore denies that emphatically. Other than that, Moore needs not admit anything was wrong with dating the other women.
In fact he should say that in his youth (stress his youth as he is now 70) That he dated many lovely ladies, some were older and some were young than him. That is all he needs to copt to. Again, there was no crime in dating these women.

A private service will take place later for Robert R. Corfman, 72, Ohatchee, who passed away Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2016. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services is directing.
Mr. Corfman worked in the engineering department of Goodyear and was an industrial consultant. He was a graduate of Jacksonville State University.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Lois Corfman; and sister-in-law, Sharon Corfman.
Mr. Corfman is survived by his wife, Mary Corfman; daughter, Leigh Corfman; grandchildren, Linley Polston and Garner Polston; great-granddaughter, Ellie Polston; brother, Jim Corfman; sister-in-law, Deborah Camp; nieces, Megan (Blake) Hays, Amy (Bass) Wallace and Holly (Sascha) Idems; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Amedisys Hospice.
