Beyond the smoking gun: The new JFK files fill in 2 holes in the assassination story
jfkfacts.org ^ | 2017 | Jeff Morley

I’ve been hearing from news reporters for major news organizations, who ask, “What’s in the new JFK files? Is there a smoking gun?”

The answer is no. There is no one piece of evidence in the 113,00 pages of JFK records scheduled to be released by October 26, 2017, that will change people’s minds...

But the new JFK files, if released in their entirety, will fill in the two key gaps in the JFK assassination story that have long been obscured by government misconduct, official secrecy, and lazy journalism.

Think of the JFK assassination story as an incomplete mosaic. The new files help complete the picture in two ways.

The new files shed light on the CIA’s use of Lee Oswald for intelligence purposes before November 22, 1963. They also illuminate the illegal actions of government officials to conceal the CIA’s manipulation of Oswald and its plot to kill Fidel Castro in late 1963....

The CIA’s Use of Oswald:

The new files strengthen the claim–long denied by the CIA and mainstream news organizations–that the agency used accused assassin Lee Oswald for intelligence purposes.

Part of the story was brought to light the JFK review board in the 1990s when they released, a complete version of one of the agency’s many pre-assassination cables on Oswald. It was prepared by Jame Angleton’s Counterintelligence Staff on October 10, 1963.

More of the story is coming in the testimony of Orest Pena, a New Orleans bar owner who said he saw Oswald in the company of a senior FBI agents in the summer of 1963. The Pena testimony was not included in the first batch of National Archives releases last week.

The newly-declassified financial records of the CIA front group, the Cuban Revolutionary Council, are also relevant, as Larry explains at The New JFK Show Blog. In his turn as a public supporter of Castro in the summer of 1963, Oswald had repeated contacts with people associated with the CRC. I will be writing more about these records in comings weeks.

Meanwhile, intelligence historian John Newman has already begun to use the new files to develop the granular knowledge of CIA covert operations and cryptonyms necessary to tell this story.

The Criminal Cover-up:

The JFK release last week includes a great deal of material about Russian defector Yuri Nosenko, who claimed to have seen Oswald’s KGB file. The veracity of Nosenko’s claims in the face of CIA interrogation is a key issue that requires deeper analysis, as Newsweek has already reported.

Key documents to come include the still-unreleased testimony of Angleton to the Church Committee on September 12, 1975.

Also important are the operational files of CIA officers hostile to JFK who were involved in assassination operations including Bill Harvey, David Phillips, and Howard Hunt.

None of these files were included in the first Archives release.

Also, Oswald was desperate to prove to the Soviets that he was spy material. The Soviets weren’t stupid and knew such a public nuisance had no value as a spy. They sent him away.

Anyone who has stood in the window of the book depository knows they could have easily thrown a sock and hit JFK. The shots were very easy to do.

“The conspiracy nuts will immediately demand the release of the “real files”. You know, the ones that prove a conspiracy.”

That’s probably why the files were never released. It would do no good to the low IQ crowd. They only want to see proof they were right and anything else they will label as “false”.

Their fragile egos cannot stand being proved as losers.

It was not negligence, it was supposed to happen.

Nothing would explain all the coincidences of details that had to be carefully in place for the assassination attempt to have been successful.

I'm here because I have every right to be. And yes I do believe Oswald killed Kennedy alone and unaided and you're to stupid to use your own mind and instead follow a bunch of conspiracy loons who haven't a SINGLE shred to prove all the bs they've been pushing for going on fifty-four years.

Jesus Christ. Do you really think if there were a plot to kill the President Of The United Sates by members of various government agents in collusion with the Mafia, talk about dim bulbs, there’s going to be a paper trail? And everyone involved in this conspiracy is going to keep there mouth shut, right? And tell me something , if it were the case that there was a conspiracy to kill Kennedy what was the reason and who benefited from it?

The irony is you’re telling me there’s a conspiracy, I’m telling you there isn’t and you, yourself , are part of a cottage industry, a ‘’conspiracy’’ of it’s own to push a conspiracy that never existed. And you need to get out of your parents basement and maybe get a girlfriend or something.

I am not sure of the specific facts on any of this and I don’t think more than a hand full of people ever were.

But what we do know: Oswall was too big an idiot for the Russians to trust him with something like that. Seems obvious but needs repeating.

If there was a conspiracy it would have to involve someone high up with connections in Texas.

The best book on this subject at tieing up loose ends that I’ve seen is this one:

https://www.amazon.com/Blood-Money-Power-How-Killed/dp/161608197X/ref=sr_1_fkmr0_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1508711303&sr=8-1-fkmr0&keywords=blood+lies+and+power+by+barr+mcclunnen

LBJ hated JFK and had a lot of dead bodies around him like other Democrats we can think of.

Here is why so many things point to Russia. LBJ floated that HE had proof IT WAS RUSSIA behind it. He got everyone to buy in on covering it up because he spread the idea if the truth ever came out, the American Citizenry would demand NUCLEAR WAR WITH RUSSIA!!!!

Just saying...

That period is uncaany.

MLK assassinated and replaced by that fool Jesse Jackson
Malcom X assassinated and replaced by that fool Farahkan
JFK assassinated and replaced by LBJ-Clinton types
Robert Kennedy assassinated and replaced by idiot brother Ted

The pattern I see is that demoralized democrat puppets replaced the democrats who had successfuly turned around the racist KKK image of the democrat party once they had done their job and were not useful anymore, Then the radical democrat underground took back the credit and continued the same hatred and racism in an underground form of language, one taught to them from communists - because there is no way these fools could come up on their own with a whole coded language like this.

1. George Wallace announced he was running for the Democratic nomination.
2. Four days later, JFK is murdered.
3. Wallace or Nixon would have won.
4. LBJ had to kill JFK or his “window” would have closed.
5. LBJ did it.

‘The irony is you’re telling me there’s a conspiracy, I’m telling you there isn’t’...”

You obviously have no clue what irony is. You described difference of opinion.

“you, yourself , are part of a cottage industry”

I have spent about five dollars on a book about the assassination. However, I do listen to people who were involved, and you definitely are not one.

“And you need to get out of your parents basement and maybe get a girlfriend or something.”

You are so shallow you can’t even originate your own insults.

Now I will bow out of this conversation; next time, if I want to talk to a wall, I will just talk to a wall I can see rather than long distance like this one.

Jack Ruby was an organized crime associate.

His murder of Oswald has led me to believe that Oswald was a patsy or at very least not the “lone nut” the Warner commision claimed.

“...he was going to expose the Federal Reserve and the central banks’ crimes.”

He, like Lincoln, bypassed the bankers, by issuing money on the credit of the government, rather than through the Fed. And he, like Lincoln, was killed for it. Kennedy had accused the Fed of treason.

High ground with the car moving past at 10 mph. Oswald knew how to shoot from his time in the Corps. The route had been published in the papers. Plus he worked there. He had the political leader of Capitalism passing right under his nose... how is a comrade supposed to pass that up? He didn’t.

But people absolutely love tasty conspiracy theories. So when fellow traveller Mark Lane of the communist front National Lawyer’s Guild produced ‘Rush to Judgement’ it was gobbled up like ice cream. That old commie suckered more people than PT Barnum.
