My pestiferous cable service has had my phone, TV, and Internet out for the last 5 hours. I had to choose between cleaning the house , or reading a book. I read the book. Back up now.
I guess that Nov 6 (New Calendar) is the real date of the Bolshevik Revolution.
But Antifa has changed that date (for some reason) to Nov 4 (New Calendar), which I call “Bad Luck Day”. (For example, the Iranian takeover of the US Embassy happened on that date, as well as the Soviet crushing of the Hungarian Revolution). I’ve had several personal instances of bad luck on that day, too.
Been busy getting all the bids/jobs I can to make some money before the winter slowdown...

Hoping they have really bad luck.
I can finally read books again. After the surgery, I just couldn’t concentrate long enough to read a book. Been going to the gym and reading while doing cardio. The elliptical, the treadmill and the exercise bike. My trifecta reading time. 40 minutes, three times a week. Then I hit the machines to tone up a bit. Then home to the showers. It’s working for me.

Hard to feel sorry for someone who consciously made her choices. Not that I condone this behavior, but now every actress or model will be sanctioned as glorified prostitutes.
I’m reading “Drain the Swamp” by Congressman Ken Buck of CO. He seems to be a member of the “Tuesday Group” (conservative) and he names names in Congress causing corruption and gridlock. Shocking! There are 2 books out there of the same name by different people.

I am reading The Shadow Land, by Elizabeth Kostova. Beautiful book. Enjoying it so much.
Did they make a movie about that?
I looked up your book on line. Not the same as the movie. Several books named Shadowlands, or similar name. Yours sounds very interesting.
I think the book just came out this year. It’s only her third book and they are all awesome.
