On a related topic, I once walked into my son’s room and told him masturbation would cause blindness and he said, “dad, I’m over here”.

...about 23 years too late for Jim Fixx.
Nice of the medical profession to do such ‘timely’ studies.

The heart has only so many beats. Exercise increases the heart rate. Exercise kills you.

You can wear out your organs by exercising too much. The body is a self-healing machine that wears down with age. If you wear it down beyond its capacity to regenerate dou to overexertion you die.

Not a very compelling study. This study wasn't set up to look at this, and this looks like retrospective database mining. First, ‘exercise’ can be many things, and self-reporting has lots of variability and holes. If someone only lifts weights, for instance, this is very different than aerobic cardio exercise. Also, there are lots of different factors involved in coronary calcification. Although it is a ‘marker’ of coronary disease, it isn't a definitive marker of obstructive coronary disease (e.g. an obstructive plaque in the artery). There are plenty of patients with extensive calcification of their arteries, but who have no obstructive plaques. The reverse is true as well.
Stay active, live your life. No one gets out alive.
