Netflix may have saved popular crime series Longmire after A&E cancelled it in 2014, but every cowboy has his last ride. The streaming service has announced that the sixth and final season debuts on November 17th. A trailer for the final act depicts Sheriff Walt Longmire considering taking off the badge for good and being forced to confront five seasons worth of criminals and past decisions. Based on the clip, it looks like this final installment will be jam-packed with shootouts and suspense.

Horrible, horrible. Couldn’t get past the first two episodes. Stupid gun stuff (”It takes exactly 5 seconds to load a falling-block rifle!”) and hoplophobia(”AK-47’s Aren’t those registered?”). Plus I can’t stand the “Starbuck” chick.
One of the best programs which has been made in a long time, and sadly it is coming to an end.
A show where the family can watch, no homosexuality, no cross dressing, no out, and out sex, or vulgar language.
Just a good , plain series.

A small town with a really high crime rate. About 60 murders a year plus allot of drug dealing. Thank the Lord for Walt Longmire and his compadres.

Third times' a charm?
Other great things about the series:
1. Set in a small Wyoming town, not a big city sewer.
2. Features an older, experienced and sage white guy near retirement. Every other show disparages and humiliates that type of person.
3. Seems to do a fair job showing contemporary problems with Indian reservations, Indian casino gambling, and tensions between the Indians and whites.
I just need to be careful I don’t move to Walt’s town, though. WAY too many murders per capita.
I recently started over and watched all the episodes again. By far the best program on Netflix.I will not be binge watching season six. I want to savor each episode.
Been waiting for this news. Can’t wait.

This has been a really NICE “old school” style TV series.
Amazon has up a new show with the bad guy from hell on wheels playing a bad guy again.
Longmire would be a good fit. Might be too expensive to make..but they are willing to spend a lot of money on their shows.
