When Siri first hit the scene in 2011 as the flagship feature on the iPhone 4s, no less it was a novel piece of software to say the least. The early version of Siri wasnt terribly powerful, but it was able to answer relatively basic queries and handle rather simple tasks such as setting reminders. In subsequent updates, Siri became much more powerful, even adding contextual awareness along the way. Equally as important, Siris ability to parse and understand language improved by leaps and bounds as well.

According to HotHardware, engineers at Cornell decided to stack a number of competing AI assistants against each other to determine which boasted the highest IQ. When the dust settled, researchers found that Googles AI has an IQ of about 47.28, putting it slightly below the IQ of an average six-year old. Siri, in contrast, didnt fare all that well, with researchers finding that Apples AI checked in with an IQ of 23.9.

What was the IQ of Microsoft’s chatbot that twitter users turned into a racist conspiracy theorist in like 24 hours?

And IQ of a six-year-old? This is so stupid. You can ask Google any stat on countries or mathematics, but see what it does if you ask it to invent a story about the gang from My Little Pony.

This makes sense -- Google and Alexa have access to much more volumes of data than Siri.
To have adequate Machine Learning you need petabytes of data.

Never had Siri (expect for the boy talk around the poker table), but recently let my phone put the newest Google Assistant on - better voice recognition than anything else I have (my car has a number of voice commands) and very intuitive.
Also tried the Cortana function on my Win10 laptop and it seems to be much like Siri/Google for voice commands.

Yes, I hear you. The other night we were at a friend’s house for dinner, and I was telling him about a great restaurant my wife and I had tried the week before.
He asked me the name of the restaurant, and all I could come up with was “Oh, you know... what is the name of that flower that you give someone when you really love them?”
He said “a rose?”
I said “Yes!”
Then turned and hollered into the kitchen where the ladies were... “Hey, Rose! What was the name of that great restaurant we ate at last week?”
