A Reddit user, Lowghen, ordered Thai food last week and posted a picture of the receipt, which has since gone viral.
The post, titled I asked for extra spicy Pad Thai today, shows a photo of his receipt which has 1 Pad Thai printed on top, followed by spicy written 17 times and then a very sinister request is typed in all caps at the bottom make him regret being born.

Sfgeek wrote, Many years ago, I asked for Thai Spicy, in Thai and Im White. Often, but not always, if you are a White American in the US, you will not get Thai Spicy. But if you say it IN THAI, your server will go to the Kitchen" and bring back a legitimately spicy dish, sfgeek theorized.
I hallucinated. It was so hot, my, friend had to help me to the car, sfgeek continued. Based on Hot Sauce and Wings Ive had, my best guess is 150,000 Scoville Units. I was delirious for hours, and literally it took days for my guts to recover.

So he got what was asked for? The truism lives!
No lawsuit? No charges?
LOL! You want spicy? I’LL GIVE YOU SPICY!!!
Can’t people take a joke anymore?
I seriously don’t get the hot & spicy craze. Most of us white folk don’t live in subtropical places where the human body needs constant cooling down. I guess this guy learned that.
LOL. That is great! A restaurant with a sense of humor!
150,000 scoville units is less than a habanero.
What a wuss.
Did he ask for a take home box?
I had Thai food once. I ordered it non-spicy, but it came spicy. So spicy that I could not finish it. Those Thai chefs spice the sh*t out of their food.
Health benefits, not to mention an element of addiction. :-)
I ordered medium drunken noodles. It was so spicy, I had to wait until it cooled to eat it.
My tolerance level is almost gone but I do add red pepper to everything I eat.
Reminds. me, we need to send all our Congresscritters 1lb bags of Haribo Sugarfree Bears out of appreciation for all that they do.

I had a Mexican dish in California three years ago called Camarones del Diablo, a spicy shrimp dish with chipotle sauce and rice. It was spicy enough to make me sweat and my nose run, but not so spicy it was like being tortured. It was juuuuust right. :-)
They watched me eat it shaking their heads. It did not taste very good and it was the hottest thing I had ever tried. I ate half of it because I was being watched but I would never do it again!

Whenever I eat real spicy food I start sweating. I must have missed the cooling effect.
The Thai restaurant here looks at me when I order 4 (out of 5) spicy. “Really? You know that’s really spicy”.
Yes, I know. I ordered it before.
