A Democrat Texas judge blocked the Secretary of State (TxSOS) from turning over data to President Donald Trumps Presidential Advisory Commission on Election Integrity from the public voter rolls. The TxSOS is required by state law to turn over the public information to anyone who requests it properly as long as it is not for commercial use.
Judge Tim Sulak, a Democrat who serves on the 353rd District Court located in Travis County, filed a temporary restraining order that prevents TxSOS Rolando Pablos from turning over voter information to the commission established by President Donald Trump in June, according to a spokesman from the TxSOS office.
While not speaking directly about this case, TxSOS spokesman Sam Taylor told Breitbart Texas Thursday morning that Texas law requires the TxSOS to release the public information, as defined by statute, to any person or organization that fills out the form, pays the fee and signs an affidavit certifying that the information will not be used for commercial purposes.
The League of Women Voters of Texas and the Texas NAACP filed the lawsuit against Pablos and Keith Ingram who heads up the Texas Elections Division for the TxSOS office, in July.
The restraining order expires after 14 days unless it is replaced by another temporary injunction. The requested information has not been released to the commission pending the outcome of the lawsuit.
The Texas Attorney Generals office is defending the State in court.

Judge shopping.
On what LEGAL basis did the judge do this? Inquiring minds want to know.
At some point these heavy-handed judges need to be ignored.
Not much in the article about the lawsuit which is the reason for the restraining order.
Some judges are above the law.
The utter and total hypocrisy of these libs...
They want an open and transparent society. So anybody who supported prop 8 should have their addresses published publically so they can be harassed.
Except when it comes to voting records and who’s registered and if they voted. Not HOW they voted which is still protected just that they did. No no, even though it’s law that those are public records, even though it’s important for the public to have the info to confirm the voting counts and percentages - nope, like AntiFa this information must be kept hidden from the public lest the liberals chicanery be discovered...
Interesting. You can buy the info online at Datatraxonline from Zebec Data Systems....
Another Austin Democrat Judge exerting his puny liberalism for a mostly meaningless ruling. It will be taken to a higher court and overturned, as the all are, but this gets this cretin’s name in the paper.
A Democrat judge up for reelection in a Democrat controlled county. There is no chance he won’t be overturned by the court of appeals, but he couldn’t buy this amount of press coverage. His election base is eating it up.
Every liberal is a violent totalitarian thug.
It’s time for Trump to turn into one of the democrats’ favorite presidents:
Andrew Jackson.
Checks and balances seemed like a good idea until one branch figured out that they had way more power than the other two and was totally unaccountable. Now it turns out the only reason elections matter is because it’s our only chance to affect who gets to be a black robed dictator for life.
Sounds about right.
These judges need to be reined in.
We need background checks for voters.
Keep hammering that point - and hoist the Dems on their own petard.
That, and “reasonable restrictions” on abortion.
Tell me again about the value of the ‘League of Women Voters” and what their REAL agenda is.
These are the same people who roam the malls & ‘register’ voters without any proof that they are legal to vote.
Covering up the fraud on behalf of the RAT party.
