NBC executives not involved in her hiring are furious over Megyn Kelly's 'obscene' $23 million salary for her tanking morning show and think it's a slap in the face to other established stars at the network, DailyMailTV has exclusively revealed.
Although it was rumored the former Fox News anchor was only being paid $17 million for her new role at NBC, Kelly will actually line her pockets with a total of $69 million over the course of three years for swapping politics for talk show antics.
Her hefty salary has drawn the scorn of senior NBC and Comcast executives who believe the 46-year-old shouldn't be raking in more than the network's veteran stars.
Although NBC has thrown its weight behind the new show, Kelly's ratings tanked on Wednesday, critics have slammed the star for not connecting with her audience and she has found herself in a string of uncomfortable celebrity guest encounters.

myself and many others here were agog over NBC hiring kelly for such big bucks, and we predicted this disaster with near 100% certainty because kelly had burned her conservative audience with her attacks on Trump, and yet we knew libs would all hate her no matter what, plus a large portion of the NBC target audience wouldn’t even know who she was anyway.
What’s T&A?.......................

The payoff is the reward for being an effective propagandist.
Secretly I think this is all part of draining the swamp. In this case, NBC’s talent budget!
They’re used to paying hugh salaries and getting little in return.

Bottom line: Her Suits and the network Suits will sit down. She will become “self-assigning” (ie: Go home; Be quiet) and she will take a cut to about $15-$16 mil.
Taht’s how these things are worked out.
Who did they think was going to watch?
Conservatives hate her like poison because she went after Trump.
Liberals hate her because no matter what she has done since, she had her origins at Fox News, so she is to be shunned.
Thus, no one is watching.

NBC’s high dollar contract with Megyn Kelly did not seem to take into account the fact that a television show is not a solo effort.
At Fox, Megyn Kelly had a team of people working towards her success: writers, researchers, and the people who booked guests onto the show. She also was part of a “team” of broadcast shows, with Bill O’Reilly leading in, then Megyn Kelly’s show, followed by Sean Hannity.
At NBC, it appears the NBC staffers are working against her. Guests are booked that are not appropriate for her, and it seemed earlier this week that a director gave directions to her earpiece to cut to break to a commercial break while Tom Brokaw was still talking. It also appears that NBC staffers continually badmouthing her to the press. Anything and everything to make her look bad.
I don’t think Kelly brought her former conservative audience with when she changed networks. Conservatives turned their back on her when she attacked Trump.
At NBC, the Today show is a strong lead in to her show, but I don’t think the Today show audience is interested in Megyn Kelly.
Tamron Hall was successful in the time slot before Kelly (she was probably paid a lot less money). It would be interesting to see how the ratings compare of Tamron Hall vs. Megyn Kelly.
I just don’t see a way things can work out business-wise for NBC. Since Megyn Kelly has a big, fat, contract, things will probably work out for her personally

Perhaps she can interview Brock Osweiler on what it is like to have a $72 million contract and nobody wants him (correction, the Broncos want him at $1 mil as a backup QB).
What’s obscene is how these lefties all want to lecture us on the benefits of socialism and the evils of capitalism. In a fair world, they should be paid $30k each with the rest of the loot going to the state.
