Megyn Kelly is raking in $23m a year for her new NBC morning show and is locked in for the next three years, DailyMailTV exclusively revealed Network executives have slammed the former Fox News host saying that her salary is 'obscene' and a 'slap in the face' to other NBC veteran stars Matt Lauer, who has been at NBC for 23 years, has an estimated salary of $25m, Jimmy Fallon, who is host of a popular late night show, earns around $15m One high-ranking insider said: 'How on earth can they justify paying her $69m for three years?' Another added: 'The network that created Barbara Walters, Tom Brokaw and Matt Lauer will now forever be remembered for the $69m hire of Megyn Kelly'

NBC executives not involved in her hiring are furious over Megyn Kelly's 'obscene' $23 million salary for her tanking morning show and think it's a slap in the face to other established stars at the network, DailyMailTV has exclusively revealed.

Although it was rumored the former Fox News anchor was only being paid $17 million for her new role at NBC, Kelly will actually line her pockets with a total of $69 million over the course of three years for swapping politics for talk show antics.

Her hefty salary has drawn the scorn of senior NBC and Comcast executives who believe the 46-year-old shouldn't be raking in more than the network's veteran stars.

Although NBC has thrown its weight behind the new show, Kelly's ratings tanked on Wednesday, critics have slammed the star for not connecting with her audience and she has found herself in a string of uncomfortable celebrity guest encounters.

One high-ranking staffer exclusively told DailyMailTV: 'This is insane! How on earth can they justify paying her $69 million for three years? It's obscene...

I see a contract buyout happening in the not to distant future. Megyn will save face and post on Facebook that it is a so called mutual decision she is leaving so she can spend more time with her kids. Back on your knees Megyn, it’s time to secure a new job. Headline News (HLN) maybe?

Chalk up another one to the career-ending move to network for so many cable success stories . . . they never learn.

Her only claim to fame was that she followed Bill O’Reilly’s lead in and kept an audience that didn’t bother to change the channel, and never mind having Sean coming up next.

The lesson is loud and clear . . . if you are having success on cable, STAY THERE. The grass is NOT greener on the network side of the fence!

I challenge anyone to come up with a name that did better after moving to network than they did as a big name on cable . . . any channel!

Her contract may require that her show have a certain ratings number and total viewership for her to collect her total salary, benchmarks , etc.

I doubt that NBC is stupid enough to pay her 23 million a year with no requirements on the success of her show.

‘The network that created Barbara Walters, Tom Brokaw and Matt Lauer will now forever be remembered for the $69m hire of Megyn Kelly’

I don’t see any inconsistencies.

They hired her because she argued with Trump during the campaign. Now they don’t know what to do. I do not blame her for taking the deal, but what a dumb approach by NBC.

How can they justify paying a marginal talent like Jimmy Fallon $15 million for his nightly BS?

Matt Lauer is still the only person in that network that has asked Hillary serious questions during and after the campaign. He has been raked over the coals for doing so.

Oh no! Could it be that the fake news, left wing lowlifes at NBC made a $69 million dollar mistake hiring a hideous anti Trump skinny blonde? Who are the adults at Comcast?

I don’t know, for her she’s up 70 Million for 3 years, and if she keeps doing poorly will get the full amount and not even have to work for it because they will push her off the air or give her minor filler work for the remainder.

70 million for 3 years... Not a bad move at all for her part. Dumb on NBC’s part... but not bad move at all for her.

These folks sure know how to pick-em.

At least CBS was smart enough to cut it’s loses.
