The Astros are starting to go cold.

Cold enough to beat up the Boston Red Sox.

And by the way... it's "Sox".. not "Soxs"

You really should be institutionalized.

Ugh, that was a painful loss for the Red Sox, but overall the Houston Astros were the better team. Congrats to them on a well-earned win.

Rafael "Baby Face" Devers' inside the park homer was exciting though!

Now it's onto the CLE-NYY game. Hope Terry Francona's Indians destroy the Yankees tonight. ;-)

I sense that the season was going to end today when the Astros got the tying point. With all this rain, and being Columbus Day, it was all symbolic indeed.

Oh well, the Red Sox season is over.

Somehow, Houston seems the 2017 team of destiny, giving the citizens of the area something positive to rally around as they clean up from Harvey. Oddly reminiscent of the 2013 Red Sox, from the "Houston Strong" patches on their unis to Altuve assault on post-season hitting like Big Papi did in 2013.

I proudly admit to being a Red Sox fan since Yastrzemski was a rookie playing LF, but I'm not terribly upset that the Astros won the ALDS series. Bummed? Yup.

Yeah, and of course it didn't help that Kimbrel wasn't "on" today. Chris Sale did a magnificent job though. Wish Sale had done better over the past month. Things may have been different.

The Astros are SUCH a hot team right now. Really difficult to shut down a hot team like that in the post season.

What I am most pleased is that Boston improved performance wise. I look forward to 2018.

I second your opinions. My husband and I are fans of 5'6" Altuve - gotta love him. We like George Springer, who grew up a Red Sox fan in New Britain, CT and graduated from UCONN. We also liked Josh Reddick when he was on the Sox roster, too.

The Astros and Dodgers seem to be the teams of destiny this year. We'll see how it ends up...

I hope Terry Francona's Indians beat the NYY tonight!

We’ll be here for Spring Training! The game today was exciting to the end. Good baseball, even though a tough end for the Red Sox.

Hot teams easy to beat. Best wishes to Houston.

Will see how Cleveland does tonight.

Hope to see you in FL again in March, FRiend! :-)

Yes, it was great baseball today, although our closer Craig Kimbrel was pretty awful. I'm still over the moon at Devers' inside the park HR! That 20 year old young man has an exciting future ahead of him. He pretty much skipped over the AA and AAA Red Sox farm teams.

I would never support a sports program that teaches teen-agers that a homosexual lifestyle is ‘okay’.

I think it's cute how she says Red Soxs.

Lighten up, you grumpy old no shoe havin', porch sittin', moon pie eatin', overall wearin', slingblade talkin', banjo pickin', deliverance baby.
