At this point they aren’t protesting anything, because their audience is not being swayed, but are being turned off. If it were a real protest, as soon as it appeared it wasn’t producing the desired results, they would have modified it. At this point they are standing on the field waving their middle fingers at the crowd. It is time they stop pretending and start doing it for real.
