Most of these players make over 100 mil for a few years of throwing a football around..SO oppressed..can I be oppressed too!!

No NFL Player makes more than $25 Mill a year. And only Matthew Stafford makes that much; a couple of dozen quarterbacks and a few defensive players make more than $10 Mill.

Most of the guys you see on a team are making less than 1 million a year and their typical career is 4.5 seasons on average. Good money, yes, but only a few guys (10 -20% of the league) get out of the game with ‘set for life’ money. And the physical toll on the bodies of many NFL players shortens their life expectancy and is debilitating for a lot of players after their careers are over, with no “post retirement” health care from the NFL, the players union, or their former teams.

I’m with you 99%, but the avg player makes 2.4 million a year. So 100 million is not accurate for a few years time playing. Having said that fruck the NFL.

Average length of career is 3.3 years.
