Another break from politics. I poked around on the net but could not find a discussion of my problem.
Every once in a while my cell phone goes into a state where it will not answer calls. From the callers perspective it doesn't ring but acts like the phone is turned off. This happens not frequently but not infrequently#$%^&%^&%
I thought that if my tablet was on, that it might tell the phone, via bluetooth, to let the tablet answer the phone. So yesterday I get out of the car, come inside, put the phone on the desk beside the table and call it from the house phone. No ring at all. Turn the tablet off. Still will not answer. I get on the cell phone and go to the bluetooth screen. Tell it to look for devices and it says none. Put the phone down and call again from the house phone. This time the cell phone answered.
So thinking a bit more, When I get into the car, the cars bluetooth automatically connects to the phone for wireless operation which I like very much. But now wonder if, when I leave the car, the cell phone doesn't properly disconnect from the cars non-existent bluetooth.
One is moved to opine that if you are so concerned about “People dying, and lost everything” you would be out there helping instead of sitting on your butt in front of your computing device snarking about what someone else posted that didn’t in any way scrape skin off your nose.
After all, you ARE in Texas so you’re right close by..
I honestly once got a 98 year old Texas Ranger to “Reboot” his house. (Pull the main breaker) (He had no idea how to unplug the rats nest under his desk) It was fun. How do you get an honorable fossil his internet back. The old coot even pulled my leg a few times during the call. He was a financial planner for officers. High up officers. He was a great SOB. Did it as a favor. 2 days later an Omaha steak box showed up on my porch. Miss Ray since he died. I became internet support the next 2 years. Poor SOB died of cancer 2 years after our first interaction. Was a MANS MAN. Hell of a sense of humor and both he appreciated and I appreciated it. RIP Ray.

You’re coming off as a real ass.
Try the power off on. If it doesnt work just save yourself the 40% higher accident rate and dont connect it to your car and all is well.
Personally I dont mess with phones in my car. If they need me, I assume they need me alive. Because of the phone thing I have become a hyper safe driver. I assume everyone else on the road is going to do something moronic. (I mean the IQ thing). So far none of them has hit me other than the 60 year old lady in the Kroger parking lot that backed into me while on her phone. Not a lick of damage to my vehicle but her husband was sure to bitch about the 2k damage to her enviro car. ;-)
It could the bug in the NSA tracking software.
Had a smart phone for a month or two. Figured out they’re just about pictures and I don’t do pictures. Went back to a flip phone. To answer a call I flip it open and start talking, don’t have to push anything. Thats all I need.
Know how to do a reset. Like was suggested, turned off bluetooth and see if the problem goes away.
If it does go away I’ll turn bluetooth back and and start turning my phone off and on when I get outta the car to see if that fixes the problem.
Blue-tooth is a known attack vector for hacking mobile phones. It should be turned OFF unless in use.
I would suspect a weak battery.
Beyond that, it could be something with the carrier or something with the phone.
If you have a carrier store close by, you might see if they have a way of checking it out.
I wouldn’t know. I hardly use my iPhone for pictures. I have more important uses for it.
While no subject directly covered the problem I’m having I might try the repairing process.
Thanks.
Android is super vulnerable to hacking and bugs.

I have been out helping. Screw you. Have you? Asshole...
How wet are you??
How wet are you?? Not I’d bet.
I think you solved your own problem. Some times my phone has thought it was still on headphones when it was not. Make an appt with the apple Genius Bar which is now 50% of the store, and have them check it.
Had an old phone with a master reset option in some menu. Kinda scary. You’ll probably lose the contact list but it’s worth a try.
Flip phone. Lol.
And you’re asking what’s wrong with it.
