Spain: Punches thrown as anti-fascists spat with anti-Islam protesters in Barcelona
Scuffles broke out between anti-Islam demonstrators and anti-fascist protesters along Barcelona's Las Ramblas, Friday, following demonstrations on the street where an attack took place that left 14 people dead and over a hundred injured.
Anti-fascist activists organised a counter protest against the Spanish far-right movement La Falang demonstration. Riot police reportedly intervened as protesters argued, dispersing the some 30 far-right protesters.
A van mowed down dozens of people along Las Ramblas in central Barcelona on Thursday. Police have reported that the incident has already claimed the lives of 14 people.
