Proclaim September 11th as a National Day of Prayer for the Safety of America!
United States presidents have a long history of rallying the people of our nation to prayer. But it has been nearly 100 years since President Woodrow Wilson last called for a Day of Prayer, Fasting, and Repentance.
With the growing threat of terror at home and around the world, the time has come for people of faith to bind together and declare our trust and dependence on God.
We need 100,000 signatures in order to send this petition to Washington. We need your help!

I, the undersigned, as a loyal Christian citizen, join in this petition drive to humbly request that you prayerfully proclaim September 11, 2017, as a National Day of Prayer, Fasting, and Repentance for the protection and preservation of America.
Unites States Presidents have a long history of crying out to Providence, during times of national crisis. But it has nearly been 100 years since President Woodrow Wilson last called for a Day of Prayer, Fasting, and Repentance. That occurred in 1918, near the end of World War I. With the growing threat of terror at home and around the world, the time has come for people of faith to bind together and declare our trust and dependence in God.
With your leadership, we will unite and humble ourselves before the Benevolent Hand of Almighty God, and ask Him to keep our nation, the United States of America, her leadership, citizens, armed forces, and first responders, safe from attack both from radical foreign enemies and domestic ideologies that are dedicated to our destruction.
This we ask with gratitude for your wise leadership and steady hand.

How about making it a day of logic and steadfast defense against islam and all other edicts of fantasy.

No. Fasting makes one weak and most of us good Americans have Nothing to repent for regarding the freedom of America.
Nice idea. Obama had pushed Sept. 11th as a day of service.
While service to the community is a good thing, I didn’t understand why Obama chose Sept. 11th to be such a day. I also didn’t think Obama was really observing the anniversary of the terrorist attacks by urging people to make it a day of service.

Splendid idea. Place our nation back into the Hands of our Creator. If not for He, U.S. would never be. 9/11 we attempted to pull ourselves together as one. That we might do this a second time would be a MIRACLE, indeed!

He probably chose 9/11 because anyone who didn’t want to show up and give out freebies as volunteers could be painted as “unpatriotic” - as though working for free is “patriotism”.
Sounds like a splendid idea. We could have subgroups to focus on things like current protection, maybe the oathkeepers could be a part it.
Why some other day?
September 11 is when we need to focus on what was done to us, and that we are still facing the same enemy.
