One day after a particularly tough (and,supposedly,identical) day of training both members of the male and female platoons were interviewed.
The guys were clearly tired...sore...and even appeared to be dispirited but every one of the made it clear that they could hack it.
The women,when interviewed,were weeping like school girls.
Lord help us if we have to send women into combat roles.....

I think they were trying to protect her from permanent damage. The same way an MMA ref jumps in and restrains a fighter when his opponent isn’t defending himself anymore.
But...but...but, he didn’t fight fair! In the movies and on TV, 100 lb. anorexic females throw big burly men around left and right. She trained so long and hard for this opportunity and he never gave her a chance to show her stuff.

It goes back to the usual, women and men are different (duh! :-) ) and men have greater upper body strength than women so women are at a disadvantage trying the match up with men in rounds of pugile sticks. Plus the male Marine charged at her and she just stood there and got knocked on her keister. Maybe if she had of met his charge with a charge of her own, she might have stood a chance, but I didn’t see any aggression in her, another obvious disadvantage.
The lady has guts, but sometime guts are not enough
Women are at a distinct disadvantage in our downsized, professional military and both me and women are going to suffer in a hard core and serious high intensity conflict.
I fully expect to get beat up for this but...
Imo, women have no place at any level in any part or piece of an expeditionary unit when deployed outside of CONUS.
