Largest pyrotechnic using real people ever done on film. TV or movie. 73 real stuntmen on fire. Pretty impressive stunt work. Like the show or not, hats off to the crew for that work.

The technical expertise of the show has been remarkable from the get-go. The locations, sets, art direction, special effects are easily movie caliber if not better. The rushed cheesy quality of TV epics of the past is nowhere to be seen here. The sound quality is also awesome if you're playing through a surround system with a subwoofer. In the episode where Euron Greyjoy rammed Yara's boat, I thought something had hit my house.

LF looked like a buffoon “instructing” Bran...

Nice scene when Littlefinger was trying to gain the confidence of Bran. Bran said “Chaos is a ladder.” The look on Littlefinger’s face showed that he understood that Bran was someone he could not fool. Bran already knows everything about Littlefinger.

I’m so conflicted.
I like Jaime and Bron. I don’t want either to die

Terribly worried about the dragon and I don’t care about DanrysT.

Does that make me bad?

Game of Thrones 7.4 was possibly the greatest single hour in television history.

And this is the greatest 7:36 minutes.

FIELD OF FIRE part 1 - Dothraki and Drogon ambush the Lannisters - Game of Thrones Season 7

It was just absolutely spectacular television.

It was like watching the The Battle of Gaugamela...when all of a sudden an F-15 Fighting Eagle shows up from behind the Persian’s lines to decimate Alexander’s army.

"no one..."

That's what the Waif called herself when Arya asked, "Who are you?" in Season 6.

TV will never be the same after this series, it has set a new standard.

Without a doubt. See my post above this one.

“It was just absolutely spectacular television. “

And after only 6 seasons - Dracarys!
(on the battlefield that is...)

Terribly worried about the dragon

It would take ten such arrows to put that dragon in any serious peril.

I'm wondering why Danaerys didn't bring all three of the dragons? And...why the hell did she pilot that beast STRAIGHT at the arrow launcher? That was suicide. Not much of a pilot, tactically speaking.

Armchair strategist that I might be, my approach to attacking the line with the dragon would be slightly different. I wouldn't have punched a hole in the line by flying directly at it. I would have started at one end of the enemy formation and flown along its length, and had the charging Dothraki on that side of the field do a hinge manuver and flank the line, attacking from the side while the enemy troops were still under frontal assault. Then I would have started at the other end and repeated the manuver. Then, if circumstances permitted I would hit the center of the line. (I don't remember the battle, but the hinge manuver was done in the Civil War.)

When Daenerys saw that first dragon arrow, she should have manuvered around the platform until she could blast it or until the ground troops could capture it. Foolish to attack it head on.

I would not have destroyed the loot train because if she wants to feed an army, it would be handy to have all that food and equipment to distribute.

All that being said, Bronn kept his wits about him, managing to impale a pursuing Dothraki with a spear, hitting the dragon with one of the arrows, and ostensibly saving Jaime from the flame thrower.

Can't wait for next week.

“tactically speaking”

Now that they are aware of ‘The Scorpion’ weapon, they can plan accordingly how best to safely deploy the dragons. I wonder though how necessary this knowledge will be? Was this the bulk of the Lannister army? And if so, The Unsullied should be able to simply stroll into Kings Landing...

I loved the look on Tyrion’s face as the Lannister army is getting wiped out and the Dothracki general turns to him and says your people are not that good as warriors (paraphrase). If Tyrion had a cartoon bubble pop above his head, I think it would say “yeah, I wonder how good Dothrackis would be if they were getting burned to a crisp”...

“I would not have destroyed the loot train “

Agreed, I saw this error as an indication that the writers did not consult a military strategist.

It’s common strategic thinking that ‘an army marches on its stomach’...

I thought the same thing, why is she burning the supply train to a crisp. When they start the siege of Kings landing can't wait to see Yuron's navy show up. All those wooden boats should be easy prey for dragons.

It looked to me in next week's previews she is getting what's left of the Lannister army to bend the knee to her. That's pretty smart. Cersei's whole argument is look at her, she's a foreigner with a foreign army invading King's landing. If they have a siege of Kings Landing and it's led by the Lannister army who are now loyal to Danerys, that kills that argument.

Tyrion:0 Cersei:2

Looked like Tyrion got his way an Jon backed him up. Using the dragon against a city wouldn’t be smart. My biggest problem is how the heck did the Lan army attack a different city w/o anybody knowing. Those dragons would be great at recon.

Yes! I enjoyed that because I dislike and distrust little finger.
Bran can see all. Heh
Kinda cool but he seems to have lost his humanity. To worried about the big picture to have much empathy for anyone on a personal level
