In hogs, they actually ARE called tushes.
In hogs, they actually ARE called tushes.
My cousin lives out of Locust Grove in NE Oklahoma. They have hogs on their property. Last time I was there their dog Blackie kept waking me up barking. I got up and was looking out the windows when the cousin got up and asked me why. I said...the dog keeps barking. She said...probably hogs.
I didn’t go out much there. Lol
“I saw the movie has Sam Neill so it has to be good. “

It is very good. REMARKABLE scenery shots.
.
New Zealand is a remarkably beautiful country.
I wouldn’t. Boar meat smells and tastes funny when cooked because of the testosterone in it. Plus feral hogs have all sorts of parasites like pork tapeworms.
NO, look again, it's blackbably Chris Christie."
NO, look again, it's black ..... huge tusks ......she'll cut ya sucka...... hair in it's back ......, and male genitalia ....Moochelle O!!!!!
*** This is not a fail-safe test —but— is pressing into the flesh LEAVES a dent — trichinosis, pretty much for sure. ***
A TV celeb hunting here in the TX Hill Country got excited when he killed a feral hog..forgot the heavy gloves..
He contacted trichinosis..All the skin was peeling off his arms, muscle aches, took months to recover.
Hog mojo?
She had her tusks removed so she could get a job at a nursing home stealing old folks dope. LOL
I couldn’t find anything on 38 special but in colonial times .38 to .40 calibre rifles were recommended for black bear. .38 calibre = .36 + patch
Double ball, double powder (common loading).
I would use 70 grns of ffg and you would get two rounds at ..1750 fps. A very hard shot to survive for the bear.
Yet another thing learned from a FReeper. Thanks.
That depends on a lot of things; if it was healthy, what it was eating, whether it was stressed when it was shot, etc. That ol’ boy looks like he’s pretty healthy. Maybe eating suburban garbage? I would say it’s probably good, though tough. Lots of sausage and slow cooked BBQ.
And it did not appear to be fat.
Was the hog’s name “Michael Moore”?
Thanks. I will add that to the keywords.
Just kidding. I ride; just couldn't resist. :)
Things that make ya go hmmmmm! The first thing that caught my eye was how smooth skinned and even haired he was in the shield area, not something you see on feral hog’s but quite common on domestically raised. The length of the tusks was another. While quite common on a domestic boar they’re usually broken or much shorter on a Feral. An old boar will be covered in scars in the shield are and will have worn down, broken or damaged his tusks along the way. It take allot of chow to get a hog to that size and a natural environment would have great difficulty in providing it. I suspect this old boy had a name before he got loose and wandered into the neighbors yard. If y’all will remember Hogzilla’s name was Fred before he was released into a high-fence enclosure and shot by that kid.
I clicked through and read the whole article and comments.
The locals say it was a feeder hog that got out while it’s owners were on vacation.
