The Minnesota cop who shot and killed an Australian bride-to-be opened fire on her after being startled by a ‘loud sound’ near his patrol car, investigators say.
Officer Mohamed Noor, 31, began blasting at 40-year-old Justine Damond, of Minneapolis, just moments after he and his partner, Matthew Harrity, heard the noise in the alley behind her house, according to the state Bureau of Criminal Apprehension.

Minneapolis rules of engagement appear to be much looser than those our troops are subjected to against terrorists.
I will never travel through or vacation again in Minnesota. I will also never buy any product produced in Minnesota. This joke of a cop is lying and should be hung today.
Unlike typical meters, BS meters do not wear out. They only get better with use.
In the end, hopefully, the taxpayers of that miserable jurisdiction will be relieved of a seven or eight figure sum.

A “loud sound” might make someone twitch if he was stupid enough to be sitting with his finger on the trigger. A “loud sound” is not going to get someone to reflexively draw from a retention holster and fire across his partner.
Q: There’s a pic of the officer at Geller’s link that shows the officer wearing white gloves. Are the white gloves part of a dress uniform? If not, why was Noor wearing the white gloves?

The police car’s dash cam was operating (although there are reports it wasn’t), but wouldn’t have shown the shooting. It did have audio however, and there was some immediate calls for the audio to be released.
The audio from *after* the shooting has already been released. Criminal cover-up unless all dash cam audio released. Perhaps the victim was still on phone with 911. Looks worse all the time.
