A Male Fairy Tale.

A MALE FAIRY TALE Once upon a time, a Prince asked a beautiful Princess,

"Will you marry me?"

The Princess immediately said, "No!"

And the Prince lived happily ever after, and rode motorcycles and dated thin, long-legged, full-breasted women, and hunted and fished and raced cars, and went to titty bars and dated ladies half his age and drank whiskey, beer, and Captain Morgan, and never heard bitching and never paid child support or alimony, and dated cheerleaders and kept his house and guns, and ate spam and potato chips and beans, and blew enormous farts, and never got cheated on while he was at work, and all his friends and family thought he was friggin' cool as hell, and he had tons of money in the bank, and left the toilet seat up. The End. **********

“I think most men would trade a decade off their old age, if they could have an enjoyable life prior to that.”

And these same men also would trade their eternal souls for such an “enjoyable life.” A man who gives up on the God-given concept of marriage because some “princess” told him no, never was much of a man. Such a man is as much of a spoiled brat as the so-called princess or the money-grubbing women who work in “titty bars.” Real men don’t need to go to “titty bars” to find joy in life.

Exodus 20:17
You shall not covet your neighbor’s house; you shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbor’s.

Romans 7:7b
For I would not have known covetousness unless the law had said, “You shall not covet.”

1 Corinthians 6:9-10
Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor COVETOUS [emphasis mine], nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God.

As a man, and as someone who has and still struggles against the sin of covetousness, I am not intending to be preachy in a condescending way. I just don’t find humor in a society that exploits women AND men sexually as a cheap substitute for the beauty of marriage that God intended. Men AND women are fallen creatures who need love, forgiveness, and healing.

I know that this was meant as a joke. Unfortunately, for me, a few elements spoiled the humor.

“You don’t go to hell for any of that stuff. Those might be sins. That’s why Jesus came. You go to hell for not accepting Jesus died for your sins. Swing and a miss.”

A person lives a life of debauchery and YOU claim, with no Biblical evidence, that he does not need to worry about hell?

Do you know ANYTHING about the Bible?

If you did, you would be less frivolous about preaching a FALSE GOSPEL.

Ephesians 5:5-6
For this you know, that no fornicator, unclean person, nor COVETOUS [emphasis added] man, who is an idolater, has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God. Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience.

The person who deceives people with vain words is YOU. Thou art the man. Satan is moving your fingers when you type your nasty lies. When I preach the message of repentance, you come along and speak the words of Satan: “You shall not surely die.” No, if a man does not repent of his lawless deeds, he shall surely die. He will die the second death for rejecting Christ.

1 Corinthians 6:9-10
Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor COVETOUS [emphasis added], nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God.

Galatians 1:8-9
But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed. As we have said before, so now I say again, if anyone preaches any other gospel to you than what you have received, let him be accursed.

God did NOT give the gift of His Son so ungrateful, unrepentant men could live a life of lust, drunkenness, fornication, remain in their sin, and then go to Heaven.

God did not pour out His wrath on Jesus, the most innocent person who ever lived, so that people could treat His sacrifice with contempt and continue doing the wicked deeds that caused God’s wrath in the first place.

No, indeed. Those who do so knowingly will receive MORE judgment.

Your Gospel is a lie from the pit of hell. It is contrary to the Gospel of scripture. And you have a great curse upon you — greater than the curse of the Law. And if you do not repent, assuming your heart is not already hardened beyond being able to repent, then you will receive the wrath of God that He has appointed for the wicked.

There is no more wicked person on this forum than someone who tells people they do not need to repent of their covetousness, fornication, and drunkenness because Jesus died so that they could continue doing these things. God will judge you quickly and severely if you continue propagating such wicked lies.

On facebook, I’d give you a like. You’re a lucky man. So am I. My wife and I generally get along fine, I was just relating a very minor spat.

Keep riding.

I think you’re making a pretty big assumption here, and quite possibly ignoring Proverbs, which warns three times about a quarrelsome wife:
Better to live on a corner of the roof than share a house with a quarrelsome wife. [Proverbs 21:9]
Better to live in a desert than with a quarrelsome and nagging wife. [Proverbs 21:19]
Better to live on a corner of the roof than share a house with a quarrelsome wife. [Proverbs 25:24]

I think many people, male or female, are ‘called’ to singleness. There are definitely asexual people - in the old days, when all there was for them was the established Church, a lot of these people became monks or nuns.

But nowadays, things are different; no Church has so preeminent a position in society. It’s especially difficult with men. God gave men a powerful sex drive, and in most cases, one way or another, they are going to exercise that drive.

Marriage is the healthiest solution to that for most men, provided the man takes the time, and uses some wisdom, to find a compatible woman.

Otherwise, they’re going to wind up pretty unhappy, regardless that they may think - for a while - that they are ‘living large’, like the dude in Vaquero’s fantasy.

Most lonely, older men that I know are envious of their friends who have wives and kids and grandkids.

Just my experience and observation.

“I talk to guys from India and else ware that have arranged marriages and they tell me they’re greatest thing in the world. Their wives are virgins and very unlikely to ever cheat and they don’t have to spend their time chasing down girls at clubs and bars for sex. This lets them focus on their career, earning more money, and providing/caring for their kids. All that male energy that often wasted looking for sex is well channeled into providing a great life for their families.”

Pretty much sums it up for that part of the world. I can say they same, choosing a wife from that area...a wife where divorce is looked at as a FAILURE, rather than a path to riches - huge difference!

Welcome to FR. Frankly I know people too. Most the guys are chasing girls at clubs til about 28. Most the wives are 15 and have no choice. Of course they are virgins.

You must run with a less restrained crowd than I do. Not everyone likes the meat markets that are US clubs.

Better a young virgin in an early marriage that produces a happy family with lots of kids, than a worn out THOT with no kids and a cat collection at 30. Before the mid 1800s Christians generally practiced arranged marriages and I don’t doubt you’ll be able to form a good argument that modern marriage leads to better outcomes that what worked for thousands of years.

During my lifetime, I’ve known several people who were simply ‘asexual’. They were people who were simply not interested in sex, one way or the other, and whose energies were sublimated into other endeavors.

Hopefully they didn't marry.

I don’t know Johnyboy. Instead of defending the poor virgin who is 15 with no choice but to marry who their parents choose for them you seem to support and encourage this practice.

I actually work with a couple of women who were married at 16 by arranged marriages. Both are very happy, both got to meet their husbands to be before they got hitched to make sure they worked for each other and they have nothing but praise for it. One of the women had kids first and then waited until her sons went to college before starting a career.

When it comes to arranged marriages outside the Muslim world the people being married generally have a veto on it but generally parents know their children well enough to make better choice than their children could have.

Have you ever heard of the the Paradox of Choice? We actually become more unhappy and unsure when we have too many options because you can never be sure you picked the best. This is especially true when it comes to mates. When we have lots options we tend to be less satisfied with the one we ultimately choose.

We also progressively lose the ability to bond both to a mate and to children as we have sex with more and more potential mates. The number one indicator that a marriage will fail is how many men the wife has slept with and the number two is how many women the husband has slept with. With that type of destructive outcome getting married early while still a virgin is by far the best way to form a lasting family.

Decent write up on the general principle of the Paradox of Choice if you’re intrested:

Funny you mention that, first I heard of it. But I have read articles where kids are literally ANGRY at their parents for doing just that...giving them so many options (i.e., so little structure) that they wound up with useless lives. Our kids, on the hand, were treated like kids. They were spanked, so it quickly became clear that there were limited (painless) options when they wanted something, or didn’t want something, and we made it clear what we’d be willing to pay for when it came to choosing college majors.

Needless to say not only did they come out fine, our boys actually have THANKED US for spanking them when they were young. It was never ‘hitting’ or ‘abusing’, it was, of course, simply an effective form of guidance.

I guess every case is different. As I said before, I know some people, one lady who was married off at 15 to a 28 Year old, who she never saw before, they met at the wedding. He took her to another place and she never saw her parents again. she was pregnant at 16 17 and 20.

He beat her many times, when he started to get rough with the kids, she looked to get out. She was fortunate to be in America at that time and had the option to get out of this arranged marriage. He then tried to kill her and the kids for the dishonor she caused. Her brother disowned her and hasn’t talked to her since, because of the shame she caused.

“I think you’re making a pretty big assumption here, and quite possibly ignoring Proverbs, which warns three times about a quarrelsome wife”

You’re right. It’s not just marriage that is a blessing. It is finding a good wife (or husband).

Proverbs 18:22
He who finds a wife finds a good thing,
And obtains favor from the Lord.

Proverbs 31:10
Who can find a virtuous wife?
For her worth is far above rubies.

But I was also making the point about pursuing the wrong kind of women:

Proverbs 2:16-19
To deliver you from the immoral woman,
From the seductress who flatters with her words,
Who forsakes the companion of her youth,
And forgets the covenant of her God.
For her house leads down to death,
And her paths to the dead;
None who go to her return,
Nor do they regain the paths of life—

Proverbs 5:3-5
For the lips of an immoral woman drip honey,
And her mouth is smoother than oil;
But in the end she is bitter as wormwood,
Sharp as a two-edged sword.
Her feet go down to death,
Her steps lay hold of hell.

Proverbs 7:27
[The adulterous woman’s] house is the way to hell,
Descending to the chambers of death.

Proverbs 23:27-28
For a harlot is a deep pit,
And a seductress is a narrow well.
She also lies in wait as for a victim,
And increases the unfaithful among men.

It may be miserable to be married to an angry and argumentative wife, but being involved with immoral women leads men to death, destruction, and hell. And that’s even worse.

But Jesus can change the angry women and even the adulterous women into virtuous ones if they repent and seek Him. Apart from that, wise men will have no interest in being with these women.

Proverbs 6:25
Do not lust after her beauty in your heart,
Nor let her allure you with her eyelids.

Ecclesiastes 7:26
And I find more bitter than death
The woman whose heart is snares and nets,
Whose hands are fetters.
He who pleases God shall escape from her,
But the sinner shall be trapped by her.

Yes. It would appear like a gay type lifestyle.......well with the various womanizing replacing.....err.....faggotry.

It was a ‘fairytale’ written, most likely, by a married or formerly married man.

It is a joke.....I laughed my butt off. I’m married, happily, for 37 years. My brother laughed hysterically, He, been married 33 years. I sent it to a male cousin, he laughed till tears ran down his eyes. He’s married over 40 years.

I suppose it’s a guy thing. But it was forwarded by a married female friend who thought it was funny, but conceded it was a guy thing.

So there you have it.
