Paul Ryan under fire for 'actively thwarting' Trump
WND ^ | Jun 25, 2017

Posted on 06/26/2017 6:09:26 AM PDT by Ray76

Days after announcing his repeat challenge to House Speaker Paul Ryan in the upcoming Republican primary, Paul Nehlen told WND he is running again because he believes Ryan is failing President Trump as well as the voters of Ryan’s own district.

“Paul Ryan is actively thwarting the president,” Nehlen told WND. “Ryan could have had a vote on full repeal of Obamacare, but he chose to bring a cadaver and see if Trump could breathe life into it. We are funding everything that was funded under Obama with the 2015 omnibus spending bill and the latest omnibus spending bill.”

Think about this – Speaker Ryan’s budgets have funded the following: sanctuary cities, dangerous refugee resettlement, illegal alien orientation and resettlement, the release of criminal illegal aliens from prison and payments used to pay the families of Palestinian terrorists,” Nehlan told WND.

“We need someone in there who will stop giving a blank check to the left’s priorities.”

“Here’s what I want to talk about,” Nehlen said. “We need to build a wall to control immigration. We need to stop the dangerous refugee resettlement racket. And we need a full repeal of Obamacare. I think a lot of Republicans thought we would already have those things if we had a majority in both houses and the White House. Yet here we are.”

The third biggest company in Wisconsin in terms of revenue is Epic, the electronic medical record software company that has made billions off of the government mandates for EMR. It's a crappy program, built from what was initially a billing program, but the company's ownership donated significantly to Obama and the democrats. The initial mandate for universal EMR was buried in the 2009 ‘stimulus’ bill, and other elements of the mandate are driven by Obamacare.

Ryan would take a political hit in Wisconsin if he is on board with anything that alters the EMR mandate in any way that would impact Epic. He has a conflict, and should not be the person shepherding any Republican health care bill.

There is no difference in lying Ryan and Nanny the red pewlousie. They both took a false oath when they swore to protect and defend our Constitution. Check out the US Catholic Bishops website and you will find whom they serve. We the people are their cash cows.

This company bought the AMA, too. And then everybody blames individual doctors for the corruption of the AMA.

Part of the reason could be that comparatively few voters ever heard of Nehlen or gave him any thought at all.

Also, even though Trump won Wisconsin, its basically a Dem strong state, and I’m sure there were Dems who voted for Ryan to keep him in office knowing his “ talk a lot, but do nothing” past

“One doesn’t just snap one’s fingers and defeat the Speaker of the House of Representatives in a Congressional election...”

Any member of Congress can be defeated by the right candidate with the right message for the people of that district. As Tim O’Neill often said, “All politics is local”.

Remember in 1994 Tom Foley, who was sitting Speaker of the House and had served his “safe” district for 30 years, was defeated by a Republican challenger.

https://bangordailynews.com/2013/10/18/politics/tom-foley-house-speaker-ousted-in-1994-dies-at-84/?ref=relatedBox

Other upsets proving determined challengers can defeat an entrenched incumbent:

1) Ronald Reagan over Jimmy Carter 1980
2) Bill Clinton over George H.W. Bush 1992
3) Republicans take House in 1994
4) Democrats take House in 2006
5) Republicans take House in 2010
6) Republicans take Senate in 2014
7) Trump defeats Hillary 2016

An aggressive candidate with a better message than the incumbent can win. Nehlen the first time out wasn’t that candidate. If he learned, and runs a better campaign, he might beat Ryan.

Well I hope Nehlen—or someone worthy—keeps trying. But it's a formidable task, to be sure.

As has been pointed out, everyone tends to like their own Congressman, while hating all the others, who are characterized as Swamp-dwellers.

Hopefully President Trump will work towards primarying GOPe Swamp-dwellers and replacing them with some real Patriots who will support his agenda, because it's clearly not merely a task of keeping the Democrats out of power.

Collectively, the Congressional GOP is almost as corrupt and feckless as the Democrats. Almost...

Ryan is a weasel and has his eyes set on a 2020 run. Never liked him since Prez Trump primaries.

The Republican are acting nearly as bad as the Democrats when come to doing their jobs. Both parties seem to think thwarting Trump is what they paid to do instead of advancing the nation and having the people best interest in mind
