California’s New “Assault Weapons” Law Foiled By Gun Makers
Freedom Out Post ^ | June 22, 2017 | Mac Slavo

California’s draconian new gun laws will require residents of the Golden state to register their “assault weapons” with the state (which they will have to pay to do of course) by the end of the year. But thanks to capitalism and the free market, gun makers have already figured out workarounds.

More than half of the private guns sold in 2016 were sold in CA.

That's a pretty amazing fact since 1/3 of all welfare recipients in the US live in CA.

I'd love a link that supports your statement.

I “foiled” Kalifornistan’s draconian imbecilic and totally unconstitutional gun-laws ... I moved to the free state of Arizona 8 years ago ... and I thank the powers that I did.

CA is the 5th largest economy in the world; do you think welfare is doing that?

And incredible!

The FBI stats ... NICS by month by state

In 2016, the state of Kentucky had more checks than California did, LOL.

I have no idea. It's certainly not helping them off welfare, is it? Still looking for your link.

I am having a difficult time with that "stat", since it would imply that gun owners there don't vote ...

Yes actually just about 90 days ago. It’s in my garage right now ... ? It was 124 here in Havasu Tuesday but the temp is down to a cool 118 right now. It only takes a few summers over to get used to it. In truth I put on a sweater if it drops below 100 anymore

“Help us Fight California’s Illegal and Unconstitutional Anti-Gun Laws

On April 24, NRA and CRPA attorneys filed the first in a series of critical lawsuits as the first step in restoring the full freedoms of the Second Amendment in California. The lawsuit, titled Rupp v. Becerra, seeks to declare California’s assault weapon ban unconstitutional.

As NRA and CRPA continue our legal efforts in the courts and our political efforts at every level of government, we need all California gun owners standing with us. We cannot be successful without your help.”+

********************************

California’s unconstitutional gun laws are being fought in our local courts. I expect that they will be upheld through the courts until finally reaching the SCOTUS.

Thank God Trump was elected s POTUS. California’ out o control socialist government needs a serious smack-down from the FEDs. Trump’s DOJ should be 100% behind these lawsuits against California.

I think you can make a strong case that without illegals voting CA would have gone “Trump”.

Seriously though ... and I don’t mean to be getting on you about it ... but site http://www.businessinsider.com/gun-ownership-by-state-2015-7 says that 20.1% of Kalifornians own guns. Here in AZ it is 32.3% and Texas has 35.7% gun ownership. It also says that Alaska has 61.7% and Arkansas has 57.9% I’m guessing that that’s registered guns. Also .. since Kalif has such strict gun laws I would guess that there are more guns that are registered in Kalif than are not. I can’t speak for the other states but I would think it’s a fair guess that there is a higher percentage of Unregistered guns than registered guns at least here in Arizona. That may also skew the numbers

I am originally from Kentucky so I have to point out that KY's NICS numbers are artificially inflated. The state runs a NICS check once a month on all CCDW holders. Runs the numbers up rather a lot. With that said, KY is still very heavily armed per capita.
