Wonder what the odds are?
Has Conor ever boxed?
I did for about 6 years. I couldn’t beat a blackbelt at Karate but we used to beat them most of the time at the boxing gym.
But this guy’s a really good puncher too, right?
How old is Floyd?
I would imagine staggeringly in Floyd’s favor.
Conor McGregor +700
Floyd Mayweather, Jr -1100
Per Fox “In laymans terms, you would have to bet $1,100 on Mayweather to win $100.
A similar bet on McGregor would return $700 profit.”
Will this be the biggest payday in the history of boxing?
Not surprised if: McGregor gets frustrated at the bobbing and weaving, momentarily forgets what’s going on and instinctively takes Mayweather down with a roundhouse kick to the head
I bet he is boxing a lot now! Conor has a puncher’s chance. Floyd is 40.
I see a big fight, but I doubt the biggest.
A well paying sparring match for Mayweather who won’t have to do much against McGregor. My guess is Floyd’s final fight will be against the winner of the Canelo and Triple G bout.
I know in UFC they can use everything, right? punching, wrestling, Martial Arts. Judo.
Had he taken some good punches.
The LAST thing to go in a boxer is his punch.
It should be exciting!
HE WILL be sparring with boxers A LOT the next two months. That I can guarantee.
McGregor can definitely push Mayweather against the ropes or into a corner and land a few body shots before the ref steps in and breaks them up. Mayweather will almost certainly try to pot-shot with one or two shots from the outside and try to out-quick McGregor then escape to a safe distance.
It’ll be interesting to see who has the better game plan. Both are remarkable athletes.
I’m not sure you wrote that correctly. Would that be a $100 bet on McGregor, or an $1,100 bet? Your post indicated the latter.
I think McGregor is a good long shot bet based on two factors. First age. Second, MMA fighters are used to getting hit a lot harder than boxers.
Canelo is all that
It was at this link:
It was always inevitable. Everything was done for show to build up the purse.
The article doesn’t explain it right. From answers.com, a -210 means you would have to bet 210 to win 100. A +210 means 100 wins 210. So you wouldn’t make a “similar bet” (1100) to win 700. They should have said a bet of 100.

OK
I can hear McGregor saying ...
“Cut me Mick, CUT ME”
I think he has to do something different to have any chance against Mayweather.
