WASHINGTON – New Orleans Mayor Mitch Landrieu (D), vice president of the U.S. Conference of Mayors, described the group’s “collective opinion” on withdrawing from the Paris Climate Accord as a “shortsighted political decision” that is going to “negatively impact” U.S. economic growth.
Landrieu said that President Trump’s “America First” outlook, which fueled his decision to withdraw from the climate agreement, should not mean “America Only.”
“Although we are spending a lot of time talking about ‘America First,’ while many of us may agree with that, it cannot be ‘America Only’ – the feeling about this is the decision to withdraw from the agreement pits environmental protection against economic growth, but we think this is a false choice,” Landrieu told reporters on a conference call last Friday.
“We think that, in fact, withdrawing from the climate agreement is not going to safeguard American industry. It’s going to actually cost us jobs,” he added.

There are tons of potholes, street signs that are hand-made. The city is a total joke. And Landrieu is more focused on getting rid of Confederate monuments than doing basic city services.
Someone should send all those mayors and councilmen copies of the US Constitution. I suppose some should be in Spanish or Ebonics, but no cursive!
There is no global warming shown from the global satellite data which the hoaxers refuse to look at. The scam is the UN taking billions or trillions of dollars from the USA as a cure for their orchestrated crisis which is not shown on the satellite data. China and India have no immediate responsibilities. The UN clearly wants to take the USA down a few notches to be equal with third world countries. I propose that Trump kicks the UN out of NYC and quits unless they move headquarters to Zimbabwe.

As lone as the stats’s hats are elected the businesses should suffer. We get what we vote for. I do benifit in the fact so many liberal cities and states keep electing people who will ruin them but at some point you start to feel sorry for them.

Unless something aligns with the communist manifesto these cities will not stop. I don't agree that the Feds should control funding for states and cities, but as long as Trump has that control he should cut cities and states off that want to promote their idiot climate/communist policy.
Except for California Governor Brown going to China and “negotiating” a “deal,” which is clearly unconstitutional, I don’t have a problem with cities declaring they will unilaterally have “climate goals,” no matter how stupid and ineffective I think they are. At least this puts the issue where people can go to city council meetings and actually talk to mayors and city council people.
Right. They can’t fix the pot holes or fund the police pensions, but are going to fix their mythical climate change.
Are these mayors willing to tax their citizens to come up with $100 billion annually the Paris accords require the US to send to third world leaders. The money is purported to be used by these leaders, not known for their managerial skills or honesty, to develop clean energy. The hypocritical mayors won’t send a dime.
I wonder how many mayors are openly opposed to the Paris climate scam.

municipal taxpayers are gonna be really P.O.ed when their mayors give India and the UN Green Fund billions of dollars.
Oh, yeah, right. All of this major and governor Paris accord agreements will be nothing but Kabuki theater.
I agree and the eco nuts should get handcuffs then tape over nose and mouth then asked what they think of Co2 emissons. I would say “I can’t hear you” and would go home.
