Senator Rand Paul is promising to file a resolution of disapproval to block an arms deal with Saudi Arabia as soon as the administration formally notifies congress, Senate sources tell Big League Politics.
On Friday, it was reported that Trump is planning to announce the arms deal during his trip to the nation over the weekend. The terms have not been officially announced, and value ranges from being reported as $100 billion to as much as $300 billion.
The action by the Kentucky senator will force a congressional vote on the executive action. He will reportedly be citing the war in Yemen, terror funding, and the nations human rights abuses among the reasons to block this deal.

McLoon most likely will also be against this since it starts putting the crimps on his blood thirsty attitude for involving us in war resulting in our men and women getting killed.
If the rich Saudis don't buy the armaments from our manufacturers, they'll buy it from somewhere else.
The number of jobs created will be fantastico, and the money pumped into our economy will be titanic.
Rand is constantly looking for publicity....and he'll get plenty of it from the doves and peaceniks infesting the enemedia Shame on him!.

Trump Says Saudi Arabia Deal Will Create Jobs, Jobs, Jobs
We may never know, but I have my doubts. The lesson I get from the Cole incident is that it is not in the interest of the USA to take sides and take part in the eternal Islamic civil war. But if I had to take sides, I would tend to favor the side that does not have a history of flying airplanes into American buildings.
If you have dealt up close and personal with these Saudi types (and Jordanian and ....) you quickly realize they only like you for what you can give them.
They really hate us and our way of life- everyone being equal to them means they all lose their positions and rank in the royal families and have to actually be something on their own merit. No, they hate us but see us as useful in their internal plans and efforts.
That, and they’re Muslim. Did I mention they hate us and think we are dogs and soon we will pay tribute or convert?
And best of all, our military men and women can be killed and maimed by equipment that provided jobs about 10 years earlier for their fellow Americans!
Iran is in Yemen trying to surround Saudi Arabia. I am not an expert, but it looks like SA has legitimate security concerns in Yemen.
Rand,
If we want the middle east to do more for their own defense and more i the fight against ISIS they need weapons.
Would you prefer they buy from Russia?
Hopefully some of the profits from those sales will go into R&D rather than for buying more legislators.
It’s actually oil first, or it was back in ‘91.
I agree thoroughly, Iran poses a threat to Israel as well, I believe our state department when they say Iran is a threat to the region.
Gope just taking turns opposing trump so nothing good gets done.
They’re paying for it. They’re getting a big discount, but there’s still profit to be made.
To be even-handed, Iran, outnumbered by the Sunni world, has security concerns with respect to the Saudis. I think we should not take part in this fight on either side.
.........and, on a more fundamental level, many Americans think that “muslims” bombing “muslims” is a “good thing”................
So, US sells more bombs and turns around and hires thousands of Americans to build them. “Muslims” then pay us billions and we deliver the bombs to them and they “deliver” them to other “muslims” in Yemen. Muslim population world wide goes down.
Gee, where’s the problem?
Senate sources tell Big League Politics.
Saudi weapon sales are generally safe because you know these idiots wont reverse engineer them and will ask our maintainers to maintain them for a long time, with our full control over them.
enemedia...Well put!!!
