I can think of an obvious snarky comment, but I’ll just say RIP and thanks for the acting.

Waiting on first wise ass to put up the “Well, bye.” meme. Rest in peace, the man who could act pure evil better than just about anyone. Probably a sweetheart and a mensch in real life.

Tombstone! Well at least he is now in another existence that doesn’t include Hillary, Maxine Waters or Chuck Schumer or any other enemies of basic human rights

(The above is not a statement of fact. It is either satire or opinion. Or both.)

He was also the shot-down Air Force pilot that joined the Wolverines in “Red Dawn”.

Great actor. Southern Comfort is my favorite Powers Boothe movie.
To: GrandJediMasterYoda
Yes. He is to be envied in that regard.

The Final Season. A feelgood sports story of small town IA HS team’s last season before consolidation. Shot in/around Norway IA.

In 1980, he won an Emmy for lead actor in a limited series or special for playing cult leader Jim Jones in CBS' Guyana Tragedy: The Story of Jim Jones. He won that award during an actors strike and chose to cross the picket line to accept his trophy, saying, "This may be either the bravest moment of my career or the dumbest."The bravest and the smartest.

Red Dawn.By Dawn's Early Light - another good one (HBO film, IIRC).
Southern Comfort is one of his films too - a bit low-budget, but interesting to this Louisiana boy.

A Mench, indeed. From his spokesman, tonight, in regard to remembrances:
"Donations can be made to the Gary Sinise Foundation, which honors the nation's defenders, veterans, first responders, their families and those in need."
