Oceans are at the 'edge' of losing all oxygen: Event could lead to mass sea life extinction

The world's oceans close to being starved of oxygen - and even that could lead to mass sea life extinction which could last a million years. University of Exeter scientists fear the modern ocean is 'on the edge of anoxia' - when the oceans are depleted of oxygen. [snip]

Lead researcher PhD student Sarah Baker said it was now 'critical' for modern humans to limit carbon emissions to prevent this.

Above a depth of 600 feet or so, everything looks fine. This is also (usually) the warmest part of the ocean and the Photosynthesis Zone where Photo-plankton are producing oxygen.

Uh.... how do you take oxygen out of water molecules and still have water.

Years ago the know it all scientists put out an article that dirt on the earth surface would be gone in a matter of years. They like the devil have no power to create but at best duplicate. They cannot even make an Apple seed much less structure all the intricacies of this eorld.

#21. If we blow bubbles into the water, we are just blowing in Carbon Dioxide. Not good according to the idiots in England.

How about feeding everyone near an ocean hot chili beans and then let them go into the water. It may not add much oxygen to the oceans but it will certainly stir up the waters so that they might absorb oxygen just to neutralize the beano gases.

I passed high school chemistry but don’t ask me how. I still don’t know.

A Ph.D student is in the process of being trained as a researcher. This one may have developed her theory after discovering she could not breathe under water.

It wasn’t so long ago, that people invented actual things that had a purpose. Now people invent things that Climate Change can do, has done or is doing.

Let’s see the formula for water is H2o, so the ocean is 2 parts oxygen.

Seeding the clouds, that’s a good one. The ocean is 2/3rd’s oxygen. Stirred up or not.

Warming water causes most dissolved gases to be less soluble. This fact may explain the higher carbon dioxide levels in the atmosphere. Physical Chemistry 101

“It is only for a million years.”

Yeah right! These “scientists” or would be scientists, can’t predict yesterday’s weather, so why should we believe predictions for up to a million years from now? (answer, we shouldn’t)
