Who greenlights this cr@p???
Note to Hollyweird: I would love to go to the movies more often. My offer to go through your slush piles is still open.
Agreed. Excaliber is still the best.
“Wonder Woman and Justice League” should do very well at the box office for Warner Bros. ( <- that “.” is “Dot” /s. “Good Night Everybody”)
You can tell what movies are going to bomb just from hearing a description. You don’t even need to see a trailer. If we can do that, then why can’t the people in Hollywood?
Hollyweird critics giving scathing reviews makes me wonder first if the movie has conservative values. After all, they just canceled Tim Allen’s profitable show because it was conservative.
It’s possible “Arthur” is lousy. I’ll probably read more, though, to see if anything else is going on.
The reason it’s not doing well is obvious now: not enough transsexuals and Muslims.
Now here’s some real entertainment => https://www.youtube.com/user/8thManDVDcom
Hours and hours of Looney Tunes and other cartoon classics.
Excalibur is a great film.
“Guards! Knights! Squires! PREPARE FOR BATTLE!”
Too bad. I thought Charlie Hunnam did a fine job as Jax Teller in the series “Sons of Anarchy”
They stupidly removed Christianity entirely from this film, so it is left with no soul. “Excalibur” (1981) left the story’s Christian roots intact, and remains an impressive and memorable film.
If all the critics hate it, it is either a very bad or a very good movie.
With the Hollywood batting average, my money is on bad.
So many ARTHUR movies the last few years. Denigrating Christianity, uplifting Paganism.
EXCALIBUR was still one of the best. The critics at that time compared it favorably to STAR WARS. And the music (Wagner’s operas) was great!
***King Arthur is looming as a huge box office disaster for Warner Bros.***
They never learned from their disaster of THE 47 RONIN. Mixing magic with real history and adding Keanu Reeves to try and bring in an American audience.
The real story of the 47 Loyal Retainers is great without Hollywoods crap.
I think I’ll wait for the RIfftrax version to see this movie.
