Excuses comes in many forms.
I saw Prince of Tides and I thought it sucked. Since I did see in 1991 at the age of 21, I saw it again 20 years later thinking that being older and wiser would help. Nope, it still sucked. It was sappy with a weak story line. It was over-praised and only got Oscar nominations because of who the director is and it’s the type of angst-ridden drama that is expected to get nominated. It was lame.
Well, I guess she’s right if you count “that female actress who is just awful” as sexism.
Id still boink her from those days I found her strangely attractive
And a recent bowel movement
When I see a promotion for “Yentl”, or, “Prince Of Tides”, I don’t think “ugh, bad movie”, or, “ugh, female director”...I think, “UGH, BARBRA STREISAND”.
Nope. It was lackoftalentism.
She wasn’t complaining about sexism back when she used her “hot Jewish girl” appearance to her advantage.

And why am I supposed to care? I assume other female actresses got oscars, no? Whiny liberal snowflake...
She didn’t get the Oscar for Directing because she continually miscast herself as a smart sophisticated woman.
Libs spend everyone else’s money, not theirs. Could be the reason she didn’t want to spend her own?
At least two a year [best actress; best supporting actress] although how you split actress among 31 gender classifications is something we need to figure out.
She’s not through. If this scam doesn’t work for her, she’ll just have to come out and claim she was sexually abused as a child, going for the jane fonda gambit of garnering sympathy and movie roles that should otherwise go to good actors. Ungracious is the word that comes to mind for an ungrateful 1%’er oscar recipient. Meanwhile others just go about their business and do good work as actors.
For some reason that made my stomach queasy.
