I would say it is still better to marry young like the “greatest generation” did. Having kids late in life brings a lot of trouble when you’re just slowing down. It’s not for everyone, of course.

I married late & had a kid late..don’t regret it one bit.
Things happen for a reason and not everyone on the same life path.

Of course, easier said than done. I’m in my early 40s and haven’t been married or had children yet. I was engaged in my mid to late 20s, though. A lot of my ancestors and present relatives didn’t marry until their 30s and have children in their 40s. A distant ancestor, a widower, married a much younger woman and kept having children into his 60s or so. My father’s marriage (at 21) was the exception to the rule in my family, and ended up a fiasco.

We had two kids in our early-mid 20s. No problems. But my kids didn't have kids until their mid-late 30s.
We, as 65+ y/o grandparents, feel like we've been in a UFC match every time the grandkids come over.

I think people should marry before they are thirty and start have children before thirty. It’s really best for parents and baby.
