Woman who spent teens dressing goth splashes out $35K on transforming into a real life Barbie

A woman has revealed how she has spent a staggering $35,000 transforming herself from a goth to a human Barbie.

Ophelia Vanity, 30, from Los Angeles, California has splurged tens of thousands of dollars on Botox, fillers and beauty treatments, in a bid to emulate the iconic doll.

So far, the wannabe Barbie has spent $35,000 (£27,670) on cosmetic procedures, and is also eyeing breast and bottom implants and wants to have rib removal surgery to give her more of an hourglass shape.

'I've always been into Barbie. As a kid, I'd get a doll every Christmas or birthday. I had a dozen or so and would play with them all the time,' said Ophelia.

I researched Ms. Vanity to find out her real name, but there's not much background yet on this woman as she's a relatively new sensation to appear on the national stage.

She supports her obsession by modeling, appearances, etc. I found one pre-Barbie photo of her. She was lounging against a tree in younger years. She is definitely of Latino, Filipina, Central/South American, Hawaiian or similar ethnic descent.

I hope she makes lots of money before her face and body starts decomposing like Michael Jackson's nose.

I also think she's more to be pitied than censured.
