Shocking tram cab CCTV shows the moment the driver smashed into a car in Minsk, Belarus. The female driver remains completely poker faced as she ploughs through the people carrier at a crossing.

I admit to being late to the party, and find that these Russian “dash cam” videos that fill the Internet are fascinating and...should I say, entertaining?
I am not in favor of people getting serious injuries, and some people clearly do in many of these, but...it is hard to tear your eyes away from them.
I saw one where there were three Russian women facing each other standing on a sidewalk near an intersection. A car flies through the light and T-Bones a car passing through.
The three women just look over, and go right back to talking as if nothing had happened.
On another one, there is a long parking lot behind some apartment building with space for only one car to navigate. There is a car with it’s dash cam pointing towards the far end perhaps 100-200 yards away, with a car slowly driving towards the camera.
As it gets close enough, you can make out the woman’s face, just staring straight ahead...and then the car smashes into the car with the camera. The woman looks like she was wide awake, eyes open, but passed out.
I asked a Russian doctor I know if Russian drivers are really as insane as they seem from these videos, and without any hesitation or sign of exaggeration, she just simply said “Yes. Yes they are.”
I am told there are dash cams all over, because if you are in an accident, it is your only protection, since the police and insurance investigators are simply bought off by whoever gets to them first or offers more money.
Yep - had many new-base safety briefings in the AF and one train engineer on a video says he was involved in a number of train-hits car incidents - and never felt the impact.....

Plus, she is high above the car and outweighs it 20 to 1. No other response would have made sense. Perhaps people think she should stand up and run to the rear screaming? Nope. She did exactly what was called for. One cool customer she is.
You are correct. The full video shows she did take action while the short clip does not.

Nonsense article. Were they expecting her to flail her arms and dance around in circles in the cab? She saw a collision was inevitable and her duty was to remain in control of the train and bring it to a safe stop. There’s no way you can stop a train for a car on the tracks unless you see it like a mile away. This is why people in cars are idiots for even trying to beat a train across an intersection.
The second "why" that is. "Why" the cop wanted a driver's attention in the first place wasn't clear.
It wouldn't stop for anything, either.
The people that built the tram probably built it.
In Boston about a decade ago, an XX transsexual trolley motor"man", Aiden nee Georgia Quinn, rear-ended a stopped trolley.
Illegally texting while operating a motor vehicle was the cause.
Not to mention the possession of a personal phone during working hours. (They're given radios for any and all communications while on the job.)
I drive with dashcams because i usually drive alone. Avoids hearsay problems.
Probably happens so often that she’s used to it.
