Chuck is now living as Charlene in San Francisco. The Cunninghams pretend s/he never existed because, in keeping with the times, families carried family secrets to the grave.

ICBW, but I believe it was James Arness who took on TV to ensure that actors got what was due them in residuals. I believe he fought that fight for several years using money he had made from real estate investments.

I think you are correct about James Arness. My brother does mostly Westerns. He does some acting and doubling but mostly supplies horses and wagons and other props.

It was just a thought stuck in the back of my brain, but I couldn’t find anything to prove it on the www.
Wasn’t sure if it was bad memory, bad search techniques or just another tid-bit of history omitted from the internet and thereby lost for all time once us old farts are gone.

"At that age she had an Andrienne Barbeau look about her — at least her face. ;)"

Did any male ever look at Adrienne Barbeau's face???

Lol. That’s exactly how I “remembered” it. Us old guys have too many things jiggling around up there. Sometimes they don’t fall in place like they used to.

Thank you.

Bily Mumy tells the story of how as a seven year old working for Alfred Hitchcock, Hitchcock got angry because Billy was fidgeting at the end of a long shoot and got up, walked over to Billy (who, at seven was dwarfed by Hitchcock who was a large man), bent over and whispered to BIlly “If you don’t stop moving, I will get a nail and nail your feet to your mark and the blood will flow like milk.”

Being a child star might not be that great.

They finish the show they had been hired for .... then they can get a part in any other show. Some try for a long time.

Some make it by taking a job on the other side the camera ... in the entertainment industry but it does not pay as well.’

I think child actors need real guidance and discipline from their parents and guardians. When they can’t get a job, they need to move on to another field. There has to be a Plan B and Plan C.

It happens to lots of kids in TV and commercials. They don’t have the maturity it takes to save most of their money when they are making it, and to do something other than acting.

No “illegal” narcotics. But I bet she had a heck of a lot of prescription narcotics. She would almost have to.

Thanks. I did not know that. That’s good news.

One of my very best friends has it right now. 139 cancers found in his body. At least he made it to 75.........so far. Poor Erin was early 50’s.

Here is a catchy song that will get the "Happy Days" theme out of your head. This was released in 1994 by Weezer and features the "Happy Days" bunch.

Excellent mid-1990s rock and at the 2:40 mark of the video is a still young-looking Erin Moran peeking in from the kitchen of Al's Diner.
