IOW, the right people died in this event cause if they entered shooting, they didn't care if they killed someone. And maybe that was their intent.
If you’re a good shot with a revolver and feel comfortable with it. Rule #1: Having a gun beats no gun.

“a real hero would have used an MRE spoon”
Those things are tuff as Nyla-bones (tm)
Nice work ....
“Waiting for the All you need is a revolver crowd to chime in”
The only purpose of a pistol is to fight your way to the shotgun...
I carry a revolver... I have carried 1911’s, 17’s etc... but the 36 has always been on me.
That’s not the way it works. Wild West, innocent people will get shot, etc...
“Outstanding! Gitcha a case of beer for that one”! (Col. Kilgore in Full Metal Jacket!.....like I need to remind FReepers of who said that!!!!)
BTW, no way that’s a “shootout.” That’s more of a “They came, he saw, he kicked @ss.”
Dittos to that! Even up here in the Mountains a quick trip ‘down the hill into the big city’, (lol.....about 500 pop!!!!),) means carry for me. ALWAYS has. (Long time SOP). You NEVER know. Now the Bears around the place here require a bit more carry horsepower! The darn things are tough Animals. .44 Mag. and speed loaders at the LEAST for handguns.
Indeed
Congo area of my not totally fair city
Although gentrification is already topping off the high points for the great views of Nashvilles ever expanding at warp speed skyline
They can have it
Only reason I go there is original Jacks BBQ
Chopped style
Meh - should have only had to use one bullet.
In the past I carried a 45ACP due to its knock down power. However the very hot new ammo being made in 9mm is great. I now carry a pistol with 13 +1 in the tube loaded with very hot 9mm.
Yeah, xthat’s classic Heat. One center of body mass then three to grow for the guy fumbling for his gun, two to the torso then finally an aimed head shot.
It all takes about three, four seconds. I need to practice drawing.
Hard for me to tell, was the first guy pointing a gun or did he just have his hand in his face?
Only Furians can do that!
Sad that these days we consider things 24/7 in america that we did to survive in third world shit storms normal.
Stay Safe WD !
That makes for a nice bumper sticker, but the reality is the fight will be long over before you reach your shotgun, if there is even one nearby. If you're in a store when three armed criminals come in, as was the case in this article, you're going to be fighting with the gun you have on you. I'd much rather face three criminals with my Glock 23 vs a revolver. A revolver gives you five or six opportunities to neutralize the threat. My Glock 23 gives me 14 opportunities. And I can swap out magazines way faster than the average person can do a speed reload. Let's face it. When you have expended those five or six rounds, you're out of the fight and you've just become a spectator. There is a reason why the military and all of LE have switched over to semi automatics.

“I’ve always had the 36 on me”... no matter what else I’m carrying that particular day, weather etc.... Small semi’s don’t fit my hand and large or medium frames can be obvious. I prefer not to open carry for all the obvious reasons. And while a shotgun is never around when you need one, considering the ranges of the vast majority of engagements the shotgun remains the force multiplier. But then there is always the collateral downside to putting lots of shot in confined, crowded areas.
“or a teacup.”
Would that be Transporter or a Riddick?
Not just hitting all three, but one bad guy being Dead Right There, another in critical condition, and the third bad enough to at least need medical attention.
