Good choice. Hop off 465 at 38th St. in Indy and cut over to 65 and save a little time.
Do you mean I-70 East? I-65 will take you to southern Indiana.

I’ve found with the new highway it easiest to do 31 from 194/94 past south bend and Grissom AFB and Kokomo bypass and I just stay on 31 to Meridian thru the posh part of town to 65 past the stadium or get on it before downtown
But I love downtown Indy
If I’m tired I stay there...it’s like a funky real downtown city with the war memorial circle and a lot of cool stuff
Most of Indy is either sprawl or some hood but downtown is very interesting and vibrant for a city it’s size
New Orleans also has an oversized downtown for a similar sized place
