Negan rocks though. That guy is the best villian so far. The governor was weak. I almost root for Negan. He just has it. Rick and Darryl seem like such wusses to me.

It was almost funny to see little Darryl try to jump at Dwight.

I know, I’m probably the outlier here. But Negan just rocks it in my view. Even before we knew, I just knew he would have a harem of wives.

It’s funny to hear Andrew Lincoln talk in his natural wussy British voice. That ruined it for me.

re: binge watch

I bought a TiVo 4-channel recorder just over a year ago. It has a ‘skip commercials’ for most (but not all) channels. I let episodes pile up and then binge watch. I especially hate the cable channels that only offer 5 to 12 episodes and then go on hiatus for 6 months to a year. By the time the program returns, I have forgotten most of the plot and characters.

I also have Netflix and AmazonPrime, both of which are great for binge watching.

I seldom actually watch a regular show on regular TV or cable because of all the commercials. Sometimes the commercial breaks are so bad they run the same commercial 2 and 3 times during the same break.

Pretty simple. People can exercise their imagination at
little or no cost. So, what is your fascination with
the fascinations of others?

Negan, other than the Lucille action on Glen and Abe, is probably the most likeable villain. I think that’s mostly his own personality shining through though. I get the feeling he’s a likeable person in real life. On the Talking Dead when all the actors got together after the big head bashing episode, he was there, and I could tell he was wrestling with this whole bad guy persona. He felt bad and I could also tell he wanted to say something in defense of his character but couldn’t. The best he could do was to Blame Daryl for “making him” kill Glen by acting out after being warned another would be killed if anyone acted up. (or was Abe second to be killed? I can’t remember right now)

Remember; they are sometimes filming episodes that won’t be seen for up to a year sometimes.

Negan’s phrases crack me up! Last week, when he was talking to Sasha and said, “Beachball size lady nuts”...... I laughed till my sides hurt. I think Rick and group became more “docile” since Alexandria. Their characters did change IMHO. However, I am hoping that tonight (and next season since the entire battle can’t be shown in one extended episode) brings back the type of survivor characters they were before. I have wondered as a viewer if they are the type of group that WHEN together become a fire storm and when separated become “lesser”. Not sure if I am explaining that fully but I am definitely looking forward to tonight. :) p.s. Not an outlier since you haven’t discussed throwing your t.v. out the window when Three’s Company was a hit show. :)

I stopped watching The Walking Dead after I caught up on episodes from Season 6.

They completely lost me with that stupid eenie meenie miney mo promo that they played every 2 seconds. Never for one second was I going to watch that torture porn....

and then there were clips of the Tiger. How effing ridiculous. I still roll my eyes when I think of the Tiger. LMAO

Fonzie has jumped the shark

That's what my wife says about Negan. He's the villain who does it all with a smile!

I don’t recall him in the show. Which person does he play? Maybe he just looks so different in real life or something...

Too bad he chose the alternative gay lifestyle. The regular one has more perks. You know what they say suck one ###k and you’re a ###k ####er for life (when said about males).

Doubt Sasha will swallow Eugene’s pills.

My fear is that the pill is a fake just like Eugene and she attempts to use it to poison Negan, with disastrous results..........

What is the fascination with this show? With Death?

In 99% of all the other shows on TV, there is no real risk for the show's characters. No matter what goofy thing happens to the Simpson family, the next episode starts over with the family brand new, forgetting all the other episodes that came before. They never age, they never learn. Same with almost every other show.

The Walking Dead is a show where everyone is at risk. Watching the show, you invest time in their character arcs and care about them, but every episode may be their last. Sure, they don't really die, they just leave the show, but the characters is ended, so there are consequences.

I have no idea either. But then I'm not very good at following show characters. One comment at the article says he must've been one of the walkers...;-) The Daily Mail sure likes to hype up anyone playing the most least role in whatever film or series...

If they leave us with a cliff hanger tonight I am going to implode.

I'm thinking they will.

From the previews from last week's episode, I didn't see any fighting.

Looks like MORE build up.

I was thinking I would actually not watch tonight's episode and just right this show off.

I'll probably watch it, but if the "war" isn't started and concluded tonight, I'm done with this show.

This season was a dreadful slog. Every episode was just a shakedown by the Saviors. The plot barely progressed after the first episode.
