They have become the anti white party. But can you keep a rainbow of colors together on social issues and hand outs while alienating the working class white voter? I think not. If Reagan Democrats become Trump-New-GOP for a few election cycles , these guys are done especially as their big names in the party keeping getting older than dirt.

nevermind, I was once married to a Japanese, her family didn’t lay around asking for a handout, they all worked, her Dad had his own company.

I THOUGHT BLACK WASN’T A COLOR.

I thought it reflects none of the spectrum.

Isn't "people of color" the same as saying "colored people", which is a VERY RACIST TERM ?

I would say it is. I was shocked the first time I heard it. I first heard it many years ago on Pacifica radio, which is a far left propaganda machine (I have a relative who listens to it).

“To regain political power, Democrats need to better direct their message at people of color who aren’t voting instead of conservative whites who have stopped listening to them.”

The problem with their race-card policies is that they impoverish LIBERAL whites - and THEY rejected Hillary in 2016.

“Indian Americans voted 80% to reelect Obama, and, financially, they are the most successful immigrant group in the country.”

That’s because Republicans can’t find anyone to speak Indian and to go to the reservations where they live - to tell them why they need to vote Republican.

It’s not quite that bad, but it’s close. The Asian-languages media is TOTALLY CONTROLLED by the left. Our side doesn’t know where to begin. And even if we start making progress, someone on our side will slip up - maybe call them ‘orientals’ as has happened, and their control of the media will magnify it 1000 times. If our side cannot bust into the left’s propaganda organs, it will be next to impossible to defeat them.

Among the target states: longtime GOP strongholds of Georgia

I live in a heavily Black part of the John Lewis District where most everybody has middle class and lower middle class jobs. Not much welfare here. A lot of government jobs.

As I have observed before, in the 2014 Senate race Nunn-D vs Perdue-R, my Black Democrat neighbors who voted Dem in 2008, 2010 and 2012 were pissed that they had to pay more for health insurance premiums while their deductible went up and their coverage went down.

Numerous people expressed to me that they were not going to vote for Nunn-D to teach the Democrats a lesson. A small number flipped and voted for Perdue. Most of them either did not go out and vote, or under-voted in the race for Senate. These are voters who were reliable D voters in all previous elections, including for mayor, etc.

In Oct 2014 I had predicted that the election would be close; that is Perdue won, it would be in a squeaker. That prediction was based on the fact that in 2014 the Dems had a massive, well financed, well organized voter registration and Get-Out-The-Vote effort.

But Perdue won easily.

Of course, the party leaders did not learn the lesson that was intended just as Republican leaders never learn when Pro-Lifers or we on the far right stay home and pout.

But GA is turning Purple and for a very obvious reason. Massive immigration to GA is occurring ... from Democrats in the Rust Belt, including both Black, Brown, White and mostly GREEN Democrats. GREEN meaning the Democrats who are immigrating to GA are Democrats who work and want to work and cannot find jobs in the Rust Belt while there are plenty of jobs in GA and NC and TX.

Nobody is asking these immigrants from the Rust Belt to ask themselves:

Why are there jobs in GA, NC, TX but not in Chicago, Detroit, Flint, Cleveland, etc?

Excellent analysis! The reason democrats lost in 2016 was too little focus on identity politics. I would not have thought of that explanation, so it’s a good thing they have professionals figuring things out for them.

Instead of courting working class whites, they’ll use their money instead to increase the size of the plantation.

[“There’s a reflexive default among the party to try to appeal to conservative white swing voters,” Steve Phillips, the San Francisco civil rights attorney,]

LOL The Democrats have spent the last 45 years throwing the white working class to the curb. There isn’t a Blue Dog in sight.

This is just more identity politics. Its always all about race to the left.

Doubling down on stupid. However, people of color are leaving Dems. So now what? I guess they would never think of reaching out to white people.

Re: “59% of those whites who VOTED.”

Many Conservatives do not realize that Romney got 1.4 million more white votes than McCain did.

The huge drop in white voters in 2012 came entirely from Obama.

Obama lost 5.5 million white voters in 2012 compared to 2008.

“NEWSFLASH: Rats have lost more than 1,000 elective seats nationwide since 2010.”

I’d like to agree with you, but this ‘new generation’ of Republicans, with VERY FEW EXCEPTIONS, cannot even keep bathrooms safe for little girls.

Not to mention the Deep State and the Courts...which all seem moving left in response to Trump.

But Trump is there...so thing very well may start to turn our way.
