President Duterte speech
My FB page ^ | March 25, 2017 | knarf

Posted on 03/25/2017 10:30:15 AM PDT by knarf

I receive daily videos of President Duterte because of our interest in the Philippines.

TOPICS: Education; History
KEYWORDS: duterte; philippine; president
Many people here in FR denegrate him, and during his campaign and election I endeavored to support him here, but I got sidetracked with Trump.

Things are moving along beautifully in the Philippines and it is BECAUSE of Duterte who, IMO, resembles Trump, especially if Trump did not have some of the restrictions American politics and social structure holds.

This is a very informative speech, but it is from his FB page

Mary told me a couple of days ago that the police and barangay officials were going past the family Sari-sari store, using bull horns to urge drug dealers turn themselves in now to avoid a possible death penalty.

This was on M Dela Concepcion St, in Pasil, Cebu City.
They have a huge drug problem in Pasil.

Has anyone else heard of this happening?

I haven't heard anything about it either. People tell me they first do knock knock talk, and if they have to come back, it's knock knock bang. I don't know if this is true, it's just what I hear.

Except Duterte goes around killing criminals. I wish Trump was more like that.

The Philippines is 7,641 islands, only 1/4th inhabited. Couldn’t they isolate meth addicts from their meth rather than killing them? Give them a fishing pole and let them concern themselves with their next meal.

The speech says that and I explained Trump was hindered by our politics and social mores.

The Filipinos absolutely LOVE DU30 and they are expecting Trump to be a friendly leader with him.

The Filipino people understand the difference in how America is put together and secretly wish Trump would be more active.

In the Prosecuting atty's mind of Duterte .... no.

He explains in his speech how when a dealer is brought to trial, there has to be expert witnesses to provide determination if a criminal should be hospitalized as insane or imprisoned, but the logistics of too few "witnesses" getting around a third world country corrupted by police and politicians made it impossible to even TRY a known dealer.

Duterte's attitude is:

We need the next generation to run the Philippines and if their brains are fried from drugs they are useless as fathers, mothers and leaders ... WHICH IS SO ABSOLUTELY TRUE ABOUT A NATION AND IT'S FUTURE ... so drugs must go NOW .. if not yesterday.

And he's a serious as a heart attack about THAT one.

He doesn’t target the addicts; he is targeting the dealers. Our “war on drugs” became a cash cow for various agencies, who in the end wanted it prolonged rather than won; he’s actually trying to win their war on drugs.

The problem is not addicts per se but that the drug cartels were moving in, and a lot of politicians were on the take.

And half of the 6000 murders last year were payback murders or gangs killing snitches.

compare to Mexico where 3000 plus drug murders happen each month.

most of the regular addicts turned themselves in, but were sent home. They are left alone unless they push drugs. We have rehab centers for only a few.

Yeah, that’s right......and the politicans and offciers who are on the take are hiring vigilantee killers to kill their sources so they won’t be exposed.

Rather like all the courts and lawyers here are eating each other up in our political climate today... to protect politicians and those corrupt from being exposed......
