What a lot of people don't realize is that airliners are actually very capable aircraft. Just because they are usually flown with all the aggressiveness of an 80 year old in an electric mobility scooter doesn't mean they can't perform very well. Sure, you're not going to go out and start pulling serious Gs in them, doing hammerheads and such for kicks, but they can surprise you.
Unloaded - no passengers, no cargo, minimal fuel for a quick spin around the airshow - they have a lot of excess lift and "command authority" from the control surfaces. What the pilot apparently did was build up some extra energy by rolling past typical Vr speed, then traded that kinetic energy for potential energy in a short steep ascent.

It doesn’t look like the plane had enough speed on take off for the wings to generate any lift. Obviously did, I guess. Looked like the engines worked more like rockets, if that’s even possible.

I’m sure that is just one of many lines.....

I knew a guy who’s main line was just “Let’s ****.”
I was stunned at his success rate. Over 25%!

The bending of the wings during the maneuvers shows that these are much higher-g maneuvers than passengers are generally subject to. And of course, that kind of wing-flexure is only possible with very careful engineering and modern materials.

Sure, that’s an SOP takeoff for Spirit Airlines.
Seriously, that was scary.
I saw the Concorde take off like that at Kennedy years go, but it had some serious burners, from ground level looked like a rocket blasting off.

"Can the 787 reach 15000 ft in less than 30 seconds?" Of course it can...If it starts out at 16,000 feet.
