Light load, fast speed....Partial fuel and stripped interior will radically affect lift performance....

As long as enough air passes over the wing for the weight...Voila!

Tom Pipe filmed this eyebrow-raising video of a Boeing test pilot performing an insanely steep takeoff while testing the 787-9. The video, captured in Farnborough Airport in England back in July 2014, sees the aircraft embark on an extreme and immediate ascent, at one stage appearing as though the plane was acting like a rocket. It was all for show, demonstrating the pilot’s marvellous skill as well as the new plane’s durability.

Very steep for a passenger plane. Difficult to compare to anything. Some Caribbean and other locales around the globe must do steep takeoffs and approaches because of mountains in their path. I notice this is a Boeing demo plane, so they’re showing how it handles extreme conditions. No data as to how heavily it was loaded. Those engines put out tremendous thrust.
