During an immigration protest against President Donald Trumps plan to ban migrants from terror-prone nations, a group of liberals thought it would be a good idea to block the road. As soon as fed-up police officers arrived, however, they realized law enforcement isnt playing by Barack Obamas rules anymore.
Last week, a pro-illegal immigration protest kicked off in Arizona in support of a Day Without An Immigrant, which gained little media attention likely because of its small numbers. After around 100 vociferous activists gathered in downtown Tucson, local police were called in when the liberal demonstration turned criminal, as they commonly do, with participants disrupting the peace and unlawfully blocking the road.
Instead of pulling up and passively monitoring as violent protesters escalated the situation, as demonstrators probably expected, police quickly took action. In footage uploaded to YouTube, unruly law-breakers can be seen being pepper-sprayed by officers whove had enough of their abuse of the First Amendment before finally arresting several of them.
Tucson News Now reports that four individuals involved in the violent protest were arrested and have now been identified. David Leon, 24, Joan Cichon, 68, and Tanya Alvarez-Blancarte, 42, were each charged with felony aggravated assault on a peace officer, while Najima Rainey, 39, was charged with obstructing and failure to identify.
In the video, Rainey is seen being carried out of the road by several exhausted officers as she dramatically screams for help. Several others can be seen pushing and hitting law enforcement officials before wailing and writhing in pain from the harrowing effects of capsaicin. A small woman in red, who appears to be Cichon, is recorded pushing and grabbing officers before she is captured lying on her back on the ground.
